As much as I like Isaac Florentine and his work, I'm not gonna watch Hercules starring some dude from Twilight.

Ratner's got about as much action shooting ability on Isaac Florentine as King Kong has **** on Alonzo Harris.

As much as I like Isaac Florentine and his work, I'm not gonna watch Hercules starring some dude from Twilight.

It looks as though its probably just the angle of the shot, because if that pic above with the scars is him from shooting he's still around the same size I had expected.

I hope they can digitally erase Rock's shoulder tattoos; it's too big and it's kind of stupid to see it on all the characters he played onscreen.

I love a good, down and dirty Greek Mythology film. Even the more recent ones I have found kind of flawed have been at least interesting from a visual stand point. Johnson as Herc sounds like it would have been better 10yrs ago when he could play a good "younger" Herc. If this story does take place after a certain amount of time has passed in Hercules' personal timeline then I could see Rock making the most of it.

A more weary and older Hercules then? Cool beans. As long as they can work in an action scene with Herc using giant chains manacled to his wrists as weapons to slap his enemies around with like Steve R. in the 60's count me in.

Honestly, this story would be Hercules in name only, its about the Thracian Wars. So it literally doesn't matter at all what race Hercules is since they are doing this completely differently.

Race casting aside, why do people insist on calling The Rock just black? Dwayne comes from a rich multicultural background being both black and Samoan. And he looks ambiguous enough to play whatever characters he pleases.

It's not a big deal though.
