MS didn't drop any megaton bombs this year. I was waiting for a new game that hasn't been announced or a former exclusive game going multiplat. They didn't have any of that. Add in all of the of Kinect casual games and the conference was a letdown to me.

I think getting Crytek to develop an exclusive IP was pretty big. Microsoft had a pretty good start to the conference.

The PS Eye Toy cant select, stop, fast forward or rewind movies. The PS Eye Toy cant pause live sports events through ESPN(something the PS doesnt have access to period). The PS eye cant select music to play through the dashboard. Now you said earlier PS could just update the eye toy to do all that(i slightly disagree as i dont think its that simple) but they havent so at this point, Kinect is better than eye toy in every way.

I had an EyeToy for the PlayStation 2 and a lot of the stuff was very similar. And the PlayStation Eye for the PlayStation 3 can do all of it already or a simple firmware update if Sony wanted.

With ESPN and playing music, you can do all that without Natal. Natal just enhances the experience. Again, with a firmware update, Sony can use the PlayStation Eye to do almost all of it.

With that said tho, other than the media applications, Kinect didn't do anything new. Its all just garbage Wii titles. Those titles are stupid on the Wii, they'll be just as dumb on the 360.

As for the price. Too much by about 50 bux. The Kinect shouldn't cost more than 99 dollars.

Exactly. That's the biggest problem. They hyped up Natal to be something huge for gaming and Kinect has ended up being a major disappointment in this aspect.

The interface options are fascinating and Sony would be stupid not to add this in with a firmware update with what Microsoft is doing, but game wise, Kinect looks awful.

Yea game wise, i think Kinect looks just as bad as the Wii at this time. Iv never had a desire to own a Wii, so unless MS starts pushing out better looking Kinect titles or lowers the price, i dont see myself picking up the Kinect anytime soon, regardless of how cool the interface options are.

aside from MGS:R, this was the only other thing that MS showed that got me interested...but then they didn't really show anything. no combat, no premise...just a few gladiator looking dudes, hardly exciting.

It's possible but Bethesda's PR dude, Pete Hines, said that if they were going to show what they're working on they'll probably do it at QuakeCon.

Personally, I think it's going to be revealed in the next GameInformer though.

It's because Goldeneye was a licensed game. Rare made it but they don't own it, Activision has the Bond license now. Besides, MS got Perfect Dark on XBLA.
