Shame about Old Republic being an MMO. I just have no interest in playing those. Although I hated the sequel, I loved the first KOTOR and would love to experience something like that again in the Star Wars universe. Running around in a world where thousands of people have full-blown force powers takes away from the magic that world for me. I want a game with a good story, not a game where it's all about leveling up your character's stats.

yeah, mmos are pretty worthless tbqh

keep your skinner box, give me a game with actual content

But MMO's generally have more content than most games.

I want a game with a good story, not a game where it's all about leveling up your character's stats.

How do we know it hasn't got a good story?
Also games that are about leveling up can have quite abit of story. Warcrafts lore has alot more going on than anything Bioware has put out.

Also as far as "story-telling" while Biowares games are like editing a story, Cataclysms story-telling with deathwing actually changed the entire (massive) gameworld. How many games have done that story-telling wise? None.

That actually makes me consider giving SWTOR a try. The worlds look rich, you get your own Spacecraft to fly around in and you get actually companion characters who help you in combat or you can order to work on some stuff for you.

Meh, I haven't liked anything WarCraft related post WC2. The universe just felt like it lost something special in the transition to WC3 and its morphed into something strange going on into WoW. Same thing happened a bit with SC2 though nearly not so badly. The Blizzard worlds just don't hold the same appeal for me that they used too.

Although I hated the sequel, I loved the first KOTOR and would love to experience something like that again in the Star Wars universe.

Was it the ending or just the general tone that did it in for you?

Modders have restored a ton of content for KoTOR 2 and it makes it a far better game.

Might just be down to personal taste.

I guess SC/BW and WC1/2 felt a bit more gritty and grounded to me and it was the move towards something as you said more comic-booky that turned me off (that and I didn't like some of the mechanics/story elements behind WC3 but I digress).

I'm enjoy both. Blizzard's comic-booky and Bioware's more down to earth style.

Metzen did the drawings for StarCraft and Diablo's instruction books, and admires pop comic pencillers, so that makes sense. Not sure I appreciate that style as much as he does, at least with Diablo; something about a trip to the underworld to kill an evil god doesn't sync with what Diablo Three looks like.

Video games with Tsunoda's name attached have more manufactured hype than quality.

I wouldn't worry too much about the lag. The game doesn't even have a release date yet so I'm assuming there's plenty of time left to polish things up.

Hopefully, but that didn't look good. The trailer link also confirms that you can use a toy lightsaber while playing.

Raccoon City E3 Trailer

And I could care less about a Resident Evil game for the first time in a long time. The whole traveling back to Raccoon City alternate universe feel to it is just a complete turn off.

Well, you can apparently follow two paths. Go the alternate path, Kill Leon and co. and win as the bad guys or follow the canon path.

The Konami Press Conference was beyond epic in 2010.

When is that? I don't think last years can be topped.

Naoki is pure awesome.

Was there any comedy gold?

Did Tashi, Naoki, and Thomas make a return?
