Would RE6 be RE1 since they've been talking about rebooting?

Most pop culture creators nowadays prefer to say "reboot" instead of "new direction," even if they don't always mean the same things. I doubt Revelations will be the last game in the current canon, especially when they haven't said as much.

Hopefully, they come up with something that attracts everyone. There doesn't need to be as big a divide as there is between classic and new fans of RE.

RE doesn't need new fans. It's when you bring in "new" fans that you get nonsense like Chris Redfield punching a boulder. They need to go back to what made the series the best in horror. Screw the new breed of fans.

There's no reason Six can't be scary and accessible. Four and Five had flaws, yet so did the classics. Six can improve on both approaches.

Has anyone used Youtube with Tvsersity ? I am wondering if I can stream the Youtube E3 conferences & watch it via my 360

For the record, Final Fantasy VII was amazing. One of my favorite FF`s (story wise) next to FF:tactics.

I really enjoyed FFVII. It's not my FAVORITE but it did a LOT for the franchise (new fans that old fans still resent) so I can see why people would want a remake.

FFIX is my favorite, btw.

Nine was the last one I enjoyed. Ten should've been about Jecht, Auron, and Braska on their pilgrimage. Hopefully, Versus will be worth the time.

FFVI all the way. :o

VII is pretty good, though, and I understand why it became so well liked. Not just because it was a lot of people's first for this gen, but it really brought a psychology, I guess you could even say, cerebral edge to the storytelling that hadn't been seen a whole lot at that point.

Yeah, I would have enjoyed X a LOT more of it was about the Pilgrimage of Jecht, Auron and Braska...

Alas...

7 is the best selling Final Fantasy game. 10 million copies sold. It also helped popularize the genre outside of Japan and is considered "the game that sold the PlayStation".

Mediocre it is not.

Sales and popularity don't indicate quality. The Call of Duty series makes Activision more than one billion dollars annually, pushing millions of units into the market. Doesn't mean all of those games are great, just that they sell in great numbers.

So I guess reviews and game scores don't count for squat in your world?

FFVII IS a good game though. No, it's not the best of them, but it is easily in the top five. I am convinced that the people that hate it only hate it because it brought in a new wave of Final Fantasy fans and is now SO popular among the masses that it's "cool to hate it". This happens with a lot of games... So, I'm not surprised.

My favorite FF's, yes... in particular order.

FFIX
FFIV
FFVI
FFVII
FFVIII
FFX

Yes, I liked FFVIII... A lot actually. I never understood the hate that game got either...

As opposed to my own experience with a game? No, they don't.

It came on the heels of a game almost everyone loved with the Junction system and Triple Triad. It's solid, but it wasn't another Seven, and that's what mattered to fans.

True...

I'm hoping that with all the love for Vampires going around that we get another Legacy of Kain game.

...Then again Kain would probably either sparkle or speak with a southern accent... So... Never mind....

I have never been interested in anything more than I'm interested in Transfarring.
