So what are we getting from Bethesda tonight?

But for real i think that Todd Howard said last year that Bethesda will not be releasing the Next Elder Scrolls game until after they've released two new IP's of theirs according to last years E3.

That's a bummer. The New Order just didn't do it for me, nor did Doom for that matter. I get what Bethesda is trying to do with Doom and Wolfenstein...but I dunno...I just have trouble getting excited for 30 year old revivals of franchises that are long past their heyday and while passable, are only just that...bringing nothing truly great to the table. And I suppose not every game has to be great. But I'd much rather see a studio like Bethesda putting all resources into TESVI than trying to inject life into something like Wolfenstein, no matter how many fond childhood memories I may have of the original.

I want to see more of The Last Night. That one, Cuphead and the Pirate game has my attention. Some of you seem anti indie games and I'm curious what's wrong with them.

I support them but I admit that not many interest me. The only indie game I have right now is Friday The 13th

I was interested, but the $500 price tag, and the lack of any exclusive AAA game that would truly take advantage of the X's power killed my interest.

at $400, maybe.

The new Xbox is going to need to get a lot cheaper for me to even consider it.

they are cutting the price of the 1TB S console to $300, for this week only I believe.

what they should have done is made that $300 price permanent for the S and then launch the X at $400.

THAT would have been the sweet spot.

Well, duh. But as a company, Bethesda has X amount of resources to put into their projects at any given time. For example, if Bethesda was not spending money, time and resources on Wolfenstein, it, as a company, could shift those resources to the TES/Fallout team, hire additional engineers, developers, artists, etc and expedite development. That is what I was suggesting. Not that the devs of Doom are the same as the TES devs.

I may have misheard this, but didn't they quote the One X's price as "$499 and up"? That seems to imply that there will be multiple versions, with likely different capacities.

I.......don't think it's a good idea to push the price anything above $500.
