Early Reviews.

Because it has a simplistic story, is crude as hell and has hammy acting. But it has great cinematography and action scenes. And the story whilst simple, is effective and well paced.

Hell yeah it is. One of the better action films to come out. It makes no sense why people don't like it. No ****ing sense.

I never expected this movie to be "liked" by critics, but I always expected it to be a fun Ghost Rider film that was an improvement over the first one.

Well I normally tend to go with the critics opinions so if this gets worse reviews than the first movie I more than likely will enjoy it less. Critics reviews are very different from fan ones though.

The new trailer looked decent and the script synopsis seems decent enough to warrant a movie ticket. I'll definitely see it...

As a side note, I thought Crank sucked royal donkey balls. Of course, I loved the new A-Team movie and I know a lot of people hated it. To each their own...

I like this trailer more than I liked the first one, it gives you a better idea of what to expect from the film as a whole.

I also like the fact that they re-used the best shots from the first trailer, because I didn't want this trailer to show TOO much new footage.

I still don't understand how anyone who likes action movies hates Crank.

Makes no sense to me.

I'm not a fan of their signature shaky cam, but I enjoyed Crank 1 and Gamer. They know how to make frenzied action movies...and on a budget. I like that about them. It's a shame this movie isn't getting the good reviews...this troubles me a little bit.

I agree with you. I'm not a shakeycam fan, but they can do it. And make the look..look good!

Movie Critic C. Robert Cargill had this to say about Ghost Rider 2:

"Been up 30 hours. About to pass out - so I'll be brief. GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE is so much ****ing fun. Felt like Ghost Rider."

I had no idea who he was so I googled him, found this site:

It's interesting this movie is having the same critic response as the original. I remember there being a huge controversy in which Sony refused to pre-screen the movie to critics in fear that it will tarnish it's debut. Maybe this is payback? Who knows.

The consensus of us SHH fans was that we would all watch it anyway; because we were all eager to see our favorite skull head on the big screen...

I feel the same today. There's no critical review that's going to make me not want to watch this.

Isn't Massawyrm a resident writer for AICN or something? Didn't see his review in there.
Also, Crank and Gamer are AWESOME.

Well said MS! Agree 100%

I'm unable to view the trailer in work so this gives me a bit more confidence. As I said before though early fan reviews arent always a good basis to judge a movie on, plenty of bad movies have had good early screening reviews.

The new trailer looks great. I always like skull head so I will definitely see it in theatre no matter how bad it turns out.

God I still remember how hyped everyone was. Getting to open chat with MSJ and then inviting SHH members to the junket... Even after those horrible reviews we were eager to see it. And THEN I realized it required a certain level of skill to make a movie as bad as that.
First time I saw it, I thought something was wrong with me or the mood I was in that day. Then saw it months later and realized... OH. MY. GOSH. What the hell were they thinking? You DO NOT tame Nic Cage when he is playing a dude with a flaming skull.

Then I guess Bad Lieutenant levels of Cage with GR effects would have destroyed the world.

Nic Cage is God. You cast him in anything and everything. Even when he is utterly terrible he's more entertaining to watch than 99% of other actors.

Thing with Cage is, he'll never phone it in... ever. If he's gonna be terrible, he'll be hilariously insane terrible. He won't just sleep walk through a movie.

That is why he is God.

Just think of Nicolas Cage GR in the Avengers. He'd put RDJ in his place.

Regardless what the early AICN negitive reviewers say, its and upgrade from the first GR movie. I'm most definetly going to see this opening day!:ghost:

I'm not a fan of their "shaky cam" either, so I'm glad they had to tone it down in this film because of Ghost Rider's CGI effects.

I'm glad to hear this, because if it's fun and packed it'll already be much better than the first film.
