At work, so i dont have time to go through all the posts to see if this has been suggested, but heres my idea.

Lets pull a Wrestlemania X. IE 2 championship matches, and the challanger in the 2 title match has to wrestle twice, just like the champion.

In the build up to mania we have HHH screw Bryan at EC, setting up a match for Mania. Make a stip that if Bryan wins he gets a title shot that night. So We have a triple main event.

That way WWE can still have Ortan vs Batista, and we can get Bryan overcoming the authority by beating HHH. Then have Bryan face off against the champion (Batista) and defying the odds and winning the title in a massive Wrestlemania moment and a massive wave of YES! chants

Perhaps Punk just ordered the number 3 off the WWE's value menu.

Maybe Punk's plan is to leave for a few years, film some movies, then come back part time that way he can be given the Wrestlemania main event and a complimentary WWE title run.

If you can't beat 'em join 'em, right?

Can you imagine if Heath Slater left for a few years, filmed some movies, got an Academy Award Nomination along the way and then came back and was pushed to the moon. :hehe:

I kinda expect John Morrison to get a bit part in a summer blockbuster and return to win the revived KOTR tournament, RR and all the titles within 6 months.

I wanted to mention a while ago that Punk looked a bit sluggish in some of his more recent matches, particularly the ones against the Shield. So if he says he was showing up and doing a half-ass job, and if it had to do more with fatigue and frustration, it certainly showed because I didn't think he was moving around as fast or freely as I thought he could at many points.

Bully Ray has already started inviting Punk to join him in the Impact Zone. :hehe:

From Haitch's latest sit-down interview with Cole:

- He turned down Brock Lesnar's requests for matches against Batista and Randy Orton on RAW because both of those men earned their positions (Batista as #1 contender, Orton as champ). If Lesnar wants something, he'll have to earn it. He added that he doesn't well with ultimatums.

- Lesnar was offered an opportunity to qualify for the Elimination Chamber, but Paul Heyman felt that Lesnar was above that. HHH said that Lesnar might not show his face for a little bit, but at the end of the day, Lesnar is "a prize fighter," and that he will return when he feels that the prize is right.

Ugh!...

He can star in the life and times of that Wendy's chick!! :woot:

and it will be a musical so the whole 3MB gang can star together!!

I wonder if we're going to get We Want Punk chants ala the We Want Flair chants back in WCW in 91 and 98 when Flair was having problems with Jim Herd and Eric Bischoff. I could see The Authority using this to generate more heel heat for themselves.

Just watched the ending of the rumble back and noticed there is a bit after Batista wins and he climbs the turnbuckle while the crowd is booing and Cole says "Batista said I'm gonna be champion, deal with it"... Vince trying to tell us something :csad:

I really don't know what to make of all this. I want to rant as much as anyone else, but what hasn't been said already? I don't know what kind of person Punk is to work with. I don't know what it's like to work with WWE, nor do I know how responsible each individual is for what ends up on TV. Could there be a better way for both sides to handle the situation? Sure, but between Punk's pride, WWE's continued ignorance of their audience, and their mutual stubbornness, I guess it was enivitable.

I really don't have much of a point here. I just know that regardless of my criticisms throughout the year, I usually look forward to Wrestlemania for one reason or another. This year, I'm really struggling to get excited.

..........deal with it. :o

So the WWE stopped following Punk on Twitter? Daaaaaayum. You know it's legit when the biggest "sports entertainment" company in the World acts like a 15 year old girl on social networking.

WWE superstar CM Punk is QUITTING the organization, TMZ has learned ... and sources tell us it's all because he's PISSED over the way the company wants to use him at "WrestleMania."

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ Sports ... Punk was livid when he learned officials scripted Batista to win the Royal Rumble ... because he feels Batista isn't in great wrestling shape and shouldn't be featured in the title match at the upcoming WrestleMania (the biggest event of the year).

We're told Punk feels he earned the right to be in the main event at WrestleMania -- because he's been wrestling tirelessly over the past year from house shows to overseas events. Punk was angry when he found out he'd be wrestling Triple H at WrestleMania instead of squaring off in the title match.

Sources say ... Punk -- whose contract is up in July -- made the decision to leave WWE after "Monday Night Raw" -- and we're told that right now, he's very serious about his decision and has no plans to return.

He probably didn't trust Helmsley would put him over.

I wil say, Punk and Cornette would make a great team.

Hopefully, all this doesn't have a knock-on effect to Miss. April Jeanette.

AJ??

oh.....yeah..........:csad:

and.....on another selfish level.....hope it doesn't affect whatever possible negotiations there are between Sting and WWE........

Also, I wonder if the sudden news of Punk quitting right before Mania caused this to happen... Again?
