Iron Man 2 Edward Norton / Bruce Banner / Hulk Cameo

Why sure then.

But I'm not getting all green and pissed off. I hate buying new pants.

Don't want to get anyone's hopes up but if Marvel want it to be a surprise post credits number (like SLJ's Fury in IM1) then Norton would likely have been asked to keep mum about it.

If he isn't involved directly though his 'to my knowledge' could simply mean there's nothing to stop them using a photo of him and/or the Hulk (Stark looking at Banner's Shield file or something like that).

I think it's time we should all move on. If anything it will be a mention, a log file, a news reel, or something to that extent. SLJ playing mind tricks with the fans is one thing. I don't expect the same crap from Norton. I think Marvel will still make a play at him for Avengers when the time comes, but I just don't see that negotiation going down the way we all hope it will go... unless Disney jumps in there with a humongous pay check... :woot:

Its not always about the Paycheck when it comes to Norton. Unless he will use the money to fund Motherless Brooklyn that he wants to direct and star in.

Hmmmm, if the ILM guy hinted at Hulk in Iron Man 2, does this mean if he is in it, will he be done by ILM rather than Rhythm & Hues?

I think it would be cool if like, one of the last scenes is Tony and Fury sitting around talking about something, then a urgent news broadcast comes on, and it's Hulk going on a rampage. Just quick glimpses of him from a news helicopter or something. Setting up Avengers.

It would be nice to see Bruce or hulk, but it would be even cooler to see an intro to another avenger, such as antman, thor, or cap. Which cap is referenced in hulk and in iron man 1.

Cap was not directly reference in TIH and all we got in IM was a brief look at what looked similiar to Cap's shield.

No one in the movie came out and said "oh Super Soldier Serum that has to do with Captain America", but they did everything but. Cap was very directly referenced in TIH

Not to mention the alternate opening which did have Cap in it.

And Tony's quip remark about leaving something in ....ICE.... as if he read a file that the WW2 file referenced how Rodgers 'disapeared'.

Plus wasn't Dr... so and so's... name on the canister in cold storate?

Not quite: "Abraham Erskine" was the scientist who created Cap's serum. The 'developer' name on the old cylinder Ross opened was "Dr Reinstein".

This might just be an error, but it might show they have thought it through properly: The secret to cap's serum died with Erskine, so the unstable stuff Ross was holding onto was (presumably) developed after his death, by another Scientist trying to rediscover Erskine's working formula.

Edited to add screencap of the label in question:

Note the 'Stark Industries' logo at the top and the 'Vita-Ray' tag in the bottom corner.

Actually Dr. Reinstein was the original creator of Cap's serum but it was later retconed to Abraham Erskine. So it's not a mistake.

I still think they should end it with cap in ice or something, i'm tired of seeing the hulk.

Ah, I didn't know that (remembered the name 'Erskine' but not the other). Was there are a reason for the retcon?

I think they probably thought "Reinstein" sounded too much like a play on "Einstein" and wanted to make up a more realistic name.

I wish that in TIH they'd kept in the deleted scene where Ross's superior suspects that he injected Blonsky with the SSS, and we learn that this isn't the first time Ross injected someone with it and that he was forbidden from using it again. It was a good scene, and I hope that if we ever get an extended edition they put it back in.

Anyway, something that I thought would have been could was if in TIH they made a reference to Oscorp having been involved with the SSS program, but their bid was rejected (read: Goblin Juice). I'm not sure if there's some kind of legal hangup preventing them from implying connections with the Spider-Man movies though, because in an early draft of the first Iron Man movie there was going to be a reference to Doc Ock but it eventually got dropped.

I don't think they want to make the Marvel Films movie universe too big just yet anyways. If you acknowledge Spider-Man's existence, well, where was he when Hulk and Abomination were tearing up NY? You think he would have shown up. I think they should probably keep the references to the movies planned for Avengers, so Thor, IM, TiH and Captain.

Yeah, for all we know he showed up 5 minutes later and was like "Alright big greenie, let's see just how tough you-- oh, he's already down?" As stated before, there were surely plenty of injured and endangered civilians who needed rescuing, so perhaps Spidey was too preoccupied to get in the middle of a Hulk-fight. ;)

There are any number of reasons why Spidey might not have shown up (he was out of town, busy fighting someone else, or if you follow the books lately he was busy bumping uglies with the Black Cat).
I'd think of it the same way as when reading the books: When Spider-Man is fighting any of his villains does Daredevil always show up (and vice versa)? Do we need an explanation as to why they don't? Nope, we just assume something else is keeping them occupied.
