Yeah, just keep acting like an ass
Tyrion is abducted by Daleks and made the Supreme Dalek.
Tony Stark somehow gets to Westeros and avenges his cousin, Ned.
Bran finds a magical wardrobe and is taken to Narnia, where he gets the use of legs back when he makes a deal with Jadis.

It's the internet. You're always one click away from something getting spoiled.

Also, I've made up the spoilers, I haven't really spoiled anything, except for the Red Wedding. And if you didn't actually know about it already, that tells me how far you've read and how fast you can read. I read the first three books in three months, in 2007...

I read the first 3 books over 6 weeks this summer. But unlike you, I don't have an elitist attitude about it and spoil major plot points.

In Skyrim, I finally got Ebony armor

Daedric armor is so close. I just need three more smithing points.

I didn't even say what happens. Just something does involving the Frey's and Starks. But knowing the crowd around here, they've already wikipedia-ed it and know.
And also, remember, this is the internet. EVERYONE has an elitist attitude. I mean... look at Why are you crouching Spock? and his elitist attitude toward PC being better than consoles.

Assume much? I may be only partway through the second book, but that doesn't mean I read slow. I've set it aside for other books on a few occasions. Three books in three months? Impressive. How about all of Lord of the Rings in a day? All of Harry Potter in a week? All of Dragonlance Chronicles in a day? And about it being the internet and spoilery? Yeah. I would expect spoilers if I were clicking on "A Song of Ice and Fire - Spoilers!" thread. If I were in a "Game of Thrones TV Series" thread. Maybe you didn't spoil much of anything, but the point was that you had the very easy option of using either Blackout or Spoiler tags for your post. All we ask is that you have a little courtesy and allow us to enjoy the thrills of the series for ourselves, the plot twists and unexpected are what makes the series great, and to dull those takes some of the fun out of reading them.

Aside from acting like a jerk, how exactly does this show the speed at which people read? There is no indication as to when people started reading the books, so there is no basis for which you can gauge their reading speed.

How is reading slow a bad thing? It’s obvious you were trying to insult him, but it did nothing but show your ignorance and immaturity. Some read fast, others read slow. No big thing.

You mentioned something somewhat spoilerish in this thread. Obviously, you didn’t think it’d be an issue. But it was to several people. You could have taken the high road and said “Sorry guys. I didn’t think of it as a spoiler” and have been done with it. But no, you gotta drag it out and act like a jerk and attempt to insult people. Classy.

Finally decided to complete the main quest last night. I really like the last few missions of it, you do some cool stuff.

77 hours, level 47. :yay:

I'm referring to this attitude I see in a lot of ASOIAF fans. They mention spoilers and when people get upset, they just scoff and say, "You should have read these books years ago like I did." I hate seeing a fan base act this way because it turns off new fans.

And actually, whilst most of the time, I can't bring myself to avoid spoilers, I have with A Song of Ice and Fire. And also, you want to compare yourself to Spock? High standards man.

Ok, I f***ing get it. I'm not changing the post because what's done is done.
This is why I don't get on these boards that much. You say one wrong thing and everyone bites your f***ing head off. I know I'm a f***ing jerk, but so is eveyone else on these damn boards.

And at Supergirl, yes I'm comparing myself to someone who thought killing children was fun and hilarious a few pages back.

No, but seriously, stop being an ass. Just stop it. You even admit that you're acting like a jerk. How about instead of trying to justify your incredibly dick-like behavior by claiming everyone else here is a jerk (an accusation that I completely disagree with) why don't you just... oh, I don't know... maybe apologize like a normal human being? It would be a lot simpler than continuing on the path you've chosen to take.

Everyone already hates me now, so apologizing isn't really gonna help anything.
And yes, I know trying to justify the way I'm acting is pointless, but I've already been called an ass, so I guess I might as well just live up to my name. And the justification for that is stupid, but I'm an ass...

I hope that's not how you deal with things in real life, man.

It was an honest mistake. When people commented on it, you could have fixed it right then and there and avoided people being mad, but you chose to be rude and insulting instead. It wasn't a big deal until you made it one.

I don't really act that way in "real life". I'm also better with spoilers because everyone I know doesn't actually read books or I'm the one introducing stuff to them. On the internet, I assume people already know these things or don't care as much. But apparently they do.

I think I had the mentality that "It's the internet, I can say whatever I effing want and get away with it. So :oldrazz:" and it just escalated from there. I also didn't think the first post after what I said wasn't as rude as everyone took it.

Well..... I guess it's time to use that ignore feature.

Not like they don't already.
That's why I said it, because I assume everyone just ignores me anyway, but I guess on that one post they didn't.

I get what you mean, but I still disagree. Anonymity shouldn't be an excuse for acting a certain way. But call me old fashioned.

people dont become fans of something when it was just released. lots became fans of the books when the show came out and just now started reading the books. just like how people knew nothing of the elder scrolls and after hearing skyrim or playing it they went back and read up on the series.

mistakes happen, but dont need to push the mistake more by being a smartass or sarcastic. best to just go..."oops, my bad" and people in general will shrug it off and go on with their day. Its when you escalate it, thats when people attack you. so while i doubt people hate you, they might not like your attitude.

we need someone to get in here and put us back on track of skyrim. whats done is done.

I'm not really gonna spoil anything else, I'm just a bit too overly excited for that scene.
or
Got you again.

This.

I just started my Monday session (yes, I have to schedule my skyrim play to keep it from taking over my life).

I'm trying to take care of the boat load of active quests before getting more. Which should i tackle:

The Taste of Death (the cannibal mission....I don't really want to become one)

Or

Innocence Lost - kill grelod the kind (assuming this will kick start the dark brotherhood missions)

I hate that you can't drop quests. I killed Grelod, and that did what you said. I only killed her because she deserved it, but I really don't want to have anything to do with the Dark Brotherhood, except to wipe it out.
