I bought it and didn't regret it except for the random vampire attacks inside towns that killed my two general store merchants in Whiterun

They killed Adrianne?!?

The bastards!

So far, they've only killed the dude from Belethor store, so i'm actually grateful that they did that, hehe

And i was caught off guard by how...bad ass Beletheor actually is!He killed one of the vampire, and summon a flame Atronach during the fight! Forgot the dude is a breton , so of course he can do that.

And also, dawnguarcd just made me realize that
Sybille Stentor is a freakin vampire!

Just out of curiosity how different is the Vampire questline would you say?

Also just found out Serana isn't romancable which is a big ol :cmad: seeing as how she's probably the best character in the game aside from Paarthurnax and her dialogue totally seemed to be heading that way.

Agreed man. Hated that.

Well, while you all have been playing Dawnguard I have started my Oblivion adventure. I have to say after playing so much Skyrim going backwards is quite different. I chose Wood Elf with Warrior as Birth sign and Knight as my skill level. Not so sure I like the bloated face models of the characters in the game though. It took a bit of getting used to but I figured out the menu navigation pretty well.

Well,I have procured for myself in Oblivion my very own Adoring fan. I have kind of installed him as my Imperial Hovel dwelling's House Carl in a way and placed him as close to the door as I possibly could to repel intruders. The sound of his voice starting with "By Azura! By Azura! By Azura!" should make for a very effective alarm, though he failed to repel Lucien Lachance.

And who knew that Adoring Fan would turn out to be Cicero....

^^ lol! that would explained alot.

So...how do you like Oblivion so far?

The funny thing is..half of the people in that room probably thinks wtf is this?!? and the other half; I GET IT!

If my new Macbook Air could run this I'd rather get it that way than for console. This is the kinda game where I'd like to use cheats lol.

Unless Cicero is a shapeshifter or immortal spirit that possesses bodies I don't think that's completely true. I think it was more Bethesda giving a nod to the character instead of Cicero actually being the Adoring Fan. Remember, Cicero is an Imperial and Adoring Fan is a Wood Elf.

I would love it if Bethesda brought back THE Adoring Fan as a quest reward, perhaps update the Imperial City Arena or something Sheogorath "gifts" the player with, as well as the return of the Imperial Guards. Being arrested in Skyrim just isn't the same by those crippled arrow to the knee guards. I'd also love it if they fully resurrected Lucien Lachance, not just had you summon his spectral form.

So...how do you like Oblivion so far?

I like it a lot, especially the colorful scenery of Cyrodil. But those wolves, they are so cute looking I feel bad killing them. The aesthetics and character movement compared with Skyrim take some getting used to though. I restarted my game though because I wanted to play a Breton instead of a Wood Elf. I've found playing the Breton is much more enjoyable as my Wood Elf was constantly being owned. I did the arena quests again and got my Adoring Fan back. But this time instead of the shack I had enough to buy the haunted place in Anvil. This second time around I had some funny thing occurring in my game. I am thankful for that pirate lady starting some trouble in the Imperial capital near the docks because not only did I get her outfit and weapon but she riled up the Imperial Guards, one whom accidentally hit the other guard so that after dispatching the pirate he went after the second guard. So I have the Imperial Guard armor and weapon without having to fight one and risk jail time. Funny thing is the guard being attacked by the other guard was just walking away as the other was swiping at him like nothing was happening.

I've been splitting my time between Oblivion and Skyrim though because I accidentally erased the Skyrim file I had been working on for months when I saved my second file right over it on accident. *sigh* At least I got to redo my character because I hated the eyes I chose for the other file, as well as killed Madanach in the mines to gain the Jarl's favor so I can become Thane and purchase property in Markarth. Just reconstructed the Daedric Armor today too.

so any word on the DLC for PS3 or are they still MIA??

i hope they fix it soon... i'd love for you PS3 owners to experience the Hearthfire DLC

Missing In Action.

The more I read about it, the more I feel (regardless of whose fault it is) that PS3 players really got screwed with Skyrim.

Missing In Action.

I knew that:oldrazz: was just messing around..

how you've been ? still traipsing around in Skyrim?

Yeah it sucks about the PS3 situation. Hopefully things'll get better for the next gen consoles.

Recent Pete Hines tweets about the PS 3 situation:

"@ImSuperMariooo No, we will not release it if we can't get the performance to an 'acceptable' standard. Our stance on this has not changed."

I'm thinking that maybe if the issue woth PS3 cannot be fixed, maybe a PS3 exclusive DLC? one that is especially tailored for that system?

:woot:

Haven't been near Skyrim in a few months, but I always know I'll go back to it sooner or later. Won't trade it because like Fallout or GTA, I know the urge to play will strike at random.

In the meantime I've been playing Minecraft, Max Payne 3 and I recently started Lego Star Wars.

Chances are I won't go back to Skyrim until a new DLC. I still have to do the vampire side of Dawnguard though. I don't think I'll bother with Hearthfire, not my bag baybee.

Ì'm waiting until all ME 3 DLC's are out at the moment.

I've heard that Omega DLC is coming?

In the meantime...raising all kinds of hell in Skyrim with Serena and Lydia..

But if you look at my avatar...i'm starting to miss the Mojave too!:oldrazz:
