That's funny. While I liked her as a player, my character barely managed to tolerate her. By the end of their adventure he had a sort of 'begrudging respect' for her, more so because he convinced her to turn human. Perhaps next time he's up in the North West he'll pop in and see how she's doing.

As far as I know haha :D She's a grown woman, she can go where ever she likes. I just assumed she stayed at the castle after I left. She said she was going to see whathisface in Morthal about the cure and then I guess she goes back and lives in Volkihair. I haven't been back there since and my character doesn't care enough to make a special trip, but if he's up that way on other business sometime he might go say hello.

Although, from what I read on the Wiki, Serana getting cured of her vampirism doesn't really change anything about her. Still keeps all her powers and even whines about the sunlight.

I had a bit of a panic today when I saw a dragon circling my house. I immediately told the kids to run inside and took off up the hill to try and draw it away from the house (armed with only a wood axe and regular clothing for armor). Oddly, it never attacked. I eventually worked out that even though the 'shout meter' had long since run out, it was my friend Durnehviir still flying around. I guess when I went in the house, somehow, he managed to remain in Skyrim longer than usual.

I've had that happen to me in my Skyrim game where a dragon just flies by. Judging by the dialogue after you beam back to Earth from Sovngarde after beating Alduin a Dragon attacking or not is all up to the AI. I believe Paarthurnax says that each individual dragon will make up its own mind if it wants to attack or not.

so just how bad is/was Skyrim on the PS3?

was it as unplayable as some people claimed?

is the 360 version really that superior?

Yes. The game was literally unplayable after somewhere between 50 and 70 hours of play. This was due to Bethesda's decision to keep track of every single item you interact with in the world and the PS3's RAM unable to keep up with that. I think they fixed that issue, but now they're having a very hard time getting the DLC to work on PS3.

is the 360 version really that superior?

Aside from those issues, I'm pretty sure they're the same.

That's a pretty big difference, though. And, considering they might not even do the remaining DLC for the PS3, I'd say that alone makes the 360/PC version an obviously smarter purchase if you have the option.

^ thanks.

yeah, I think I'll pick it up again for the 360, if/when it goes on sale for around $30-$40.

hopefully, BF will have some deals.....

right now, I'm rediscovering Fallout 3. That was my 1st 360 ( and current-gen ) game that I played, and now 4 years later, I'm getting back into the story.

One thing that I like about Fallout 3 is that I felt more of a connection to my PC, since the Lone Wanderer has a backstory/history.

didn't really get that with my Skyrim character.

is their a questline in Skyrim where your Dragonborn's past is explored?

Nearly finished the Dawnguard questlines. Been enjoying it. Is the Legendary Dragon hard to find? I'm not that far from max level but I haven't seen any yet.

Yea im still looking for it as well, but i dont think im at the right level. What level do you need to be for it to show up?

No, because your character is your character. He/She is a blank canvas. Make your own back story

ah, I see.

still, I think it would have been nice to include some backstory questline for your character, based on the race you choose........

but, yeah, I just make up my own backstory for my Breton mage.........

I've read minimums of 60, 70 & 78 etc but I don't tnink anyone knows for sure. If people are telling the truth you can get it at 60 but I'm sure likelihood is much higher 70+ & really probably high 70s unless you want to be playing for days before you find one. :woot: I'm near max level & I haven't seen one in nearly the whole Dawnguard questline plus some random exploring.

That Legendary Dragon achievement is going to bug the crap out of me. My main guy is level 50 and as much as I love Skyrim there's no way I'm putting in the grind to get him to 70+ legit just to find that dragon.

I was planning on making an evil Mage after I get through Dawnguard to finish off the remaining quests I didn't do (Mage guild, Brotherhood) and I'll likely use that Daedra book glitch to level him proper, so maybe I'll just go crazy and level him max to find that dragon. I was hoping to 100% Skyrim and I'm damn close, too! Dragons be damned!

According to the Wiki, you have to reach level 78 or higher for the Legendary Dragon to appear. My three main characters are levels 42, 32, and 26 respectively. It's going to be a long ass time before I see that dragon! :D

Well, it isn't unplayable, but it does get rather frustrating when the game freezes in the middle of battle when the autosave kicks in and it overloads from all the controller commands you're inputting at the same time. I'm also having some trouble because Mehrunes Dagon has refused to spawn anymore Dremora so that I can get a kkey from them to enter his temple. I guess I became too greedy harvesting Daedra hearts to make Daedric Armor for all my housecarls. :( That and Heimskr refuses to rant about Talos in Whiterun. Some of you might find that a Godsend but I find it unnerving that he just stands there looking at me and saying nothing.

I should get there eventually. I never plan on creating another character so ill just keep working away at this one.

Whats some things you guys do to level up? Legit that is.

Depends what class you are. My highest level guy is a warrior type so most of the skills I actually use practically are maxed or close to it. The only way I could see hitting an even higher level would be to start grinding on all the Mage skills, which wouldn't interest my character anyway.

I figure since my Mage is gonna be an evil SOB he wouldn't be above using little cheats to advance his powers. Not gonna do that on my main guy, though. Once I finish Dawnguard he'll be retiring to his Hearthfire home!

Yea i dont spend much energy on magic. Maybe ill start doing some of that. Like you my combat both one handed and long range is pretty high.

If your magic levels are low you should gain a few levels relatively quickly. It seems like the lower your skill levels are as you level them the more experience you gain. It's when they start reaching the 70+ area that they seem to take forever, in my experience.

But if you haven't touched them like you said you should be able to get a lot of experience from leveling them since there are, like, a billion magic categories lol.

Yea thats what iv noticed as well. My alchemy level is also like non existent. Guess i need to start looking at some of my levels and seeing which ones are the lowest.

Other than blacksmithing, which I absolutely spammed out iron daggers on to raise my skill, I tend to let everything else develop naturally. My first characters Sneak, One Handed and Archery skills are very high purely from doing quests and general adventuring. My second character's Block and One Handed skills have risen from the same (his archery and sneak are almost non existent).

On the other hand, I have a power hungry mage character. The whole premise behind this nasty Khajitt is that he'll do anything to gain power, including waiting around on the road for unsuspecting travelers to practice his magic on. These days the sadistic bastard has several prisoners which he routinely assaults until they're near death, then healing them up again to full health. Rinse and repeat. He's only level 26, but he's one dangerous kitty.

Balthus Dire is exactly right. Skyrim's leveling system is heavily weighted toward low level skills.
