Elder Scrolls V

Oh you kids and your drugs. :p

If Fallout has mods on X1 hopefully ESVI does too. Although I'll probably be getting it on pc anyway.

A Nord? Pshh! Everyone knows Argonians are the superior race.

Pfft, Khajiit are better. I don't see the Argonians having a song about them. :o

My Oblivion character was Argonian and Skyrim character was Khajit.

Thing is AC is obviously way overdone, but for a hardcore fan of the series they still have more good games last gen than most other series along with others which are at least worth playing. I would love to play a ES game 3 years after Skyrim even if it had no improvements at all and just a new setting with the promise of the gamechanging bigger game another 3 years down the line. A gap of 7 years (if the next one comes out in 2018) makes it hard to even consider myself a serious fan as it'll end up being something I can only do very sporadically in my life. And however amazing Fallout and other Bethesda games are, they don't scratch the Elder Scrolls itch for me.

Nope, Oblivion was my first although I don't like it as much as Skyrim. May well do that!

I'm up to Black Flag at the moment on AC and I think most of the games have been at least half decent. If I was a major AC fan I'd say I was well served last gen, even if over-served!. I think they'd be better working on a 2 year rotation though while ES would work on a 3/4 year cycle. Fallout and ES are always going to sell so I'd love to see Bethesda expand so that they can work on multiple great games at the same time like bigger studios do.

Personally, I hope they stay away from such an attitude. Look at the backlash when their publisher farmed out ESO to another studio? As well, look what happened to Bioware when EA tried to get Bioware to do that after they bought them? We got the lacklustre, rushed Dragon Age II and the half-assed ending of Mass Effect 3. Honestly, I'm so happy that ZeniMax just lets Todd Howard run BGS the way he does and they aren't farming out Elder Scrolls games to a half dozen other studios. It is so much better having each game be a well-crafted epic years in the making. My only major criticism is that they need to bring Michael Kirkbride back to write the lore. The main quest lines for Oblivion and Skyrim have been a little lacklustre since his departure.

Is this like Skyrim where you level up faster by doing every skill ie bow, sneaking, alchemy?

hopefully Skyrim will be part of the initial wave of BC games on the X1.

really looking forward to playing that game again.

Awesome. I've been hoping Bethesda would want to do something new soon.

Me too. Even if pushes Elder Scrolls and Fallout back more, I'd love to see something new in the same open-world/massive exploration type setting. If they make it, I'll buy it.

well, if ES VI is some ways off, then they can assuage that pain by making Skyrim BC with the X1.

I love this game so much.

I have put in around 30 hours so far got it 2 weeks ago.

Can you PC players sit down? I have a PS4 and miss this ability.

I just want to chill in an inn and watch players come in and out as I wait for a dungeon group to form.

So what's the verdict on ESO, particularly for PS4? I've only played Skyrim and I enjoyed it, but from what I've heard, this is not like it at all.

Having played TES V on PS3 for well over 400 hours across multiple saves, I finally bought it on PC through Steam so I can use these mods everyone keeps talking to me about. I have an account on Nexus Mod and it's Mod Manager.

I don't know what the hell I'm doing.

picked up ESO for $30 over BF weekend.

I know it's not a true substitute for Skyrim, but since they don't seem to want to remaster that game, I need something similar......lol.

I want to try it, have gotten seriously into Neverwinter which is the first MMO I've played properly.

I like ESO. But for anyone planning to try it, I'd say expect an MMO rather than "Skyrim with co-op". I think many people were disappointed because they just wanted another Skyrim. ESO still has some Elder Scrolls feel to it in my opinion, although some of that might be lost because of the typical MMO stuff.

Now that I've dipped my toes into the MMO world I've found I really love the idea of them so decide to also start ESO.

Sorry, Iceman, don't hold your breath for TESVI. It sounds like it will be a while before they get to it. They might even do a new IP game before TESVI.

It can't be too far off. Ever since the PS2, Sony has put out a new console every 6 years. Which means we'll probably have the PS5 and/or a new Xbox by 2019 or 2020. And I doubt Bethesda wants to wait until the very end of this console generation to release ES6. If they do then they might as well skip the PS4 and Xbobx One altogether and release ES6 on PS5 and the next Xbox.

So, the new copies of ESO still come with the Explorer Pack DLC code.

but, does anyone here know if those codes have been discontinued or if the Explorer Pack is no longer offered?

because when I try to redeem the code that came with my brand new copy, it says the code has already been used.

and I've already exchanged the game for another new copy, and the code with that copy also says it has already been used.

kind of weird.

anyone else have this problem?
