For myself? I honestly never got the Elektra thing at all, and it's not that I dislike the femme fatale badgirls, it's just in the comics I can't say she's anything more than that. Plus... She's just no good for Matt. It can sometimes feel like Matt is obsessed with Elektra for all the wrong reasons, and it may even be the "doomed" to be apart thing that keeps him longing for her. But... That's more about the comics, where I have found Elektra too bland and generally uninteresting from the beginning if I really think about it. As for the show... Well I can't say that I have done a total 180, that said, Elodie is certainly entertaining in the part, full of sensuality and wit, and charm... But again. it's apparent to me that Matt is metaphorically blinded by strong feelings that don't take into account a lot of good reasons why this could never work long term. I do suppose that in matters of the heart that's how it is for a lot of human beings.
Karen and Matt on the show? I disagree. What we are seeing with them is the first timid steps, as Dr. Frank Castle, relationship specialist pointed out, there is something there, and like Karen said, the ingredients are all present. I think for sure Matt NEEDS a person like Karen in his life for the better. The words "for the better" and Elektra just shouldn't be in the same sentence. Without a doubt the "heat" that Matt has with Elektra eclipses that which he has with Karen but, I think as you get older you realize that "heat" is far from the most important part of a relationship. I vote Karen and Matt.
