Hello all, been awhile since I posted a topic.
Anyways, I was just watching Batman (1989) and Batman: Mask of The Phantasm.
I enjoy both films, they are both really well done.
I noticed that I really, just have a fondness for Keatons costume. I guess its the all black with the tall ears, but just seeing that, I have to admit, I like it even better than Bales costume.

And in Mask of the Phantasm, I just marvel at the sheer creepyness of Mark Hammils Joker sometimes. The script is perfect and his voice makes it awesome.

So, I guess my question is, are there pieces from the other films that you would like to see, either blended in to the costume, the characters or the dialogue in the sequel to Batman Begins?

Aren't all the Batman costumes all black, except for the comics?

And all but Begins had tall ears too, didn't they?

Well I guess I meant to say that they really highlighted the black in the Keaton costume, I mean there was NO DOUBT that it was black, pure black.
But in Schumakers movies and in Bales costume, there are times when it looks like its not black.

I remember that casting sheet for Begins that had T. Welling on it and people were going crazy thinking there'd be a Clark cameo. But alas, it didn't happen.

One element they should of kept was the music from B89. It fits like the John Williams theme for Superman

That would've made even more people think it was a prequel.

I'd prefer if Gotham's look was changed a bit, not so much to look exactly like B89, but I want it to look a tad grittier and grimer, like a city that is truly being overrun by crime. In other words, less like Chicago.

I'd also like a much different score, maybe even different composers. For me, the score for Begins was the least memorable aspect of the film. For me it was just standard background music, whereas Elfman's score became a part of the character. I'm not saying we should bring back Elfman, but I think that the score for the film needs to be genuinely be reworked.

Superman franchise ain't reboot tho that's why Singer & Co kept theme from the same franchise but Batman is different to Burton/Schumacher movies.

I understand what you guys are sayin, I just love that theme song. Watching BTAS the other day, I watch it alot but for some reason the opening caught my attention (the episode was mad love ) and the music is like a roller coaster of emotions. Then when it ends with Batman standing on the roof top looming over his city. GREATEST THEME EVA !!! lol :batman:

I agree with everything said here, except the one about Robin.
I'd love to see the brooding aspect to Bales Batman that we saw in 89 and MOTP. Standing in front of the portrait would just be a great part of the sequel. At least we can be happy that Schumaker didn't ruin that, because it is a very deep part of Bruce, constantly thinking, wondering if his parents approve.
And I still think it would be nice if they not necessarily threw Elfmans theme in, but it would be rather nice if they blended it into the new theme, maybe not easily recognizable, but still there. I think that would just be cool.
However, on the other side, I can see why Nolan would want to cut ALL ties with other films.
Anyways, yeah, main stuff I really wanna see:

A darker suit, with longer ears like in 1989, I'm sorry, Bales suit kicks ass but Keatons just has this...perfectness to it.

The portrait.

If possible, the grandfather clock. I think that would be a faithful part of the comics that they need to integrate into this.

A brooding Batman. We didn't really see Bruce alone in Begins much after he came back. I wanna see him contemplate his actions, plan, deduce, etc. I loved the parts in 89 and Returns when Keaton sat in front of the computer screens just thinking. That is definitely an important thing to put in there.
