Well, as I said, I've always thought CR is a top 5 film. If Casino Royale is eliminated before Dr. No, I'll not lose sleep over it. I truly think the 5 remaining films ARE the best of Bond (and I'll come out and say I'm a total FRWL ****e. )

Things are looking good. As long as it ends with the first three as the top three, I'm good.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is an excellent movie -- that is, it's good almost to the point in which I consider it "classic," along with the first four movies in the series.

You know how I feel about Casino Royale. It's good, but I rank it somewhere after Goldeneye, The Living Daylights, Licence To Kill, and Thunderball, yet above ALL Roger Moore films.

I'll give you due: TLD was eliminated too early. Should have been around 8 or 9, IMHO. I love Dalton, even though LTK wasn't very Bond-ish to me - more a generic '80s revenge movie. But Dalton = two thumbs up in my book.

As you've probably noticed, Dalton is my favorite Bond.

I wish he were in A View To A Kill, but he gave it his best in The Living Daylights and Licence To Kill.

Interesting list from IMDB there. CR as number one is probably a bit overstated (at best it's number 3, IMHO, both FRWL and OHMSS being better.)

However, I think that Bond 22, if made in the same vein as CR, could easily become a nr 1 contender.

CR as number one is probably a bit overstated

Perhaps. I personally can't say that for sure at this point-- I saw CR (for the second time) last weekend and myself and the party of people I was with were all electrified by it, and Daniel Craig's performance in particular. Nonetheless, it's worth pointing out that the list was done at the Casino Royale forum at IMDB so it is highly biased. I figured the Dalton fans here would probably like it more than the one we did (though I feel OHMSS was ranked way) too low in the IMDB one.

That being said I think I'm going to bow out of the game here-- there are only 5 or so of us playing and we're not accomplishing much (plus the five films left are all really hard to distinguish between imho).

Lastly, I found another James Bond discussion forum-- this one is based in the UK, is much more active, and is much more fast. I also started this same game there (only the movies started with 5 points) if any of you want to try it again with a bigger and different audience.
