Elle Fanning is Patty Hearst...directed by James Mangold

The theme sounds kind of similar to American Pastoral staring her sister Dakota Fanning.

The People v OJ Simpson was great, Logan was great. I'm in.

I'm in whatever Mangold directs after Logan.

Yeah, Logan was great, and I always thought both of the Fanning sisters as very talented, either as kids and adults. I'm interested in this as it's a fascinating story, kinda like the robber/hostage drama in Stockholm which gave name to the term "Stockholm Syndrome"(which I also would like to see on film, but of course with a Swedish production).

Fox Kills Patricia Hearst Biopic After She Blasts Project
The move came a few hours after Hearst had issued a strong denunciation of both the Fox movie biopic and a CNN documentary series about her 1974 kidnapping. She blasted author Jeffrey Toobin, whose unauthorized 2016 biography “American Heiress: The Wild Saga of the Kidnapping, Crimes and Trial of Patty Hearst” was being turned into the feature film and who is an executive producer of CNN’s “The Radical Story of Patty Hearst.”

“Jeffery Toobin’s unauthorized book, ‘American Heiress,’ which cites one of my kidnappers as its main source, romanticizes my rape and torture and calls my abduction a ‘rollicking adventure,’” she said in a statement released by her daughter Lydia Hearst’s spokesperson.

Well, that was fast.

That Fox would drop it the very day Hearst made her statement makes me wonder if the Disney buy-out was already moving them toward dropping the project, and her speaking out against it just gave them an opening.
