Oh, ok. I suppose it doesn't mean four asterisks, which are what I had in my post, either.SpideyInATree said:*shrugs* **** McGee = something good. Not four astericks.![]()

The only reason Spider-Man and Wolverine were on the Avengers was so that comic could get a sales boost from having popular heroes on the title to make it a JLA knock-off. Nevermind that Spidey works better as a solo hero and Wolverine is overexposed enough as it is, the book sold like hotcakes, quality be damned. And guess what? That line-up didn't last. Now Marvel is trying the same strategy again with Thunderbolts by having Venom, Bullseye, and Green Goblin on the roster--which Norman Osborn apparently being the leader no less--solely because they're popular villains and trying to capitalize off DC's Villains United/Secret Six series. Never mind that the comic is supposed to be about redemption and that the new guys are psychopaths who can't be redeemed--and who work better AS villains and not superhero wannabes.

I think they already tried that with the whole "Fight Club" thing.Darthphere said:Joey Q: Warren we want you to do Thunderbolts.
Ellis: Ok ill do it. But I have the same catch as everything else I do in continuity.
Joey Q: Whats that?
Ellis: I have to **** it up beyond recognition and throw everything that came before it out the window because I cant work within an already existsing continuity.
Joey Q: Ok, sales will be worth it. Fanboys are all so predictable.
