He's stuck there with nothing to eat except for the role of lifesavers in his pocket.

Actually I think the Cargo Plane crashed head first before the portal opened. They're all dead except Faora.

Maybe he's in the action too :o

You know what they say about mid-balds guys in the field :o

...only half a roll...and wintergreen has almost no nutritional value...to humans.

...it will be discovered later that wintergreen lifesavers can be used to reboot the phantom drive because they are so...refreshing.

I don't think Hamilton will be back in BvS but hope to see him in a JL or standalone Superman film. I thought the casting was perfect!

You did see MOS right? He's in the Phantom Zone. He aint coming back...like ever.

Don't be so sure...Black Zero got out of the Phantom Zone once before...

...just need like a planet to explode or star to supernova...

Man of Steel was so complicated as there were way too many subplots, consequently that caused the them to have several plot holes. I think they completely forgot about Emil Hamilton. I didn't even realize that until my 4th or 5th viewing.

Huh? Just... Huh? And... Why are you watching a film you so obviously and vocally dislike more than 3 times? I mean... What subplots are you even talking about? There was no Hamilton subplot, in fact, Hamilton, despite those that are only familiar with the Timm toon think, is not a huge character in the mythos. I swear... My Z detector keeps going off lately.

Dude, seriously - Krypton inc, i respect you as a poster, you come up with some good shizzle, but why can't you let people have an opinion? Why do you always counter act their views?
So what if they watched it several times? they felt the film had several plot holes - so what??? it's their opinion! Why does it warrant you to mention it?
People walk into a movie, they already have a preconceived notion or idea, based on trailers. Then they see the movie and they take from it what they want too. Everybody is different. You really are a smart, informative poster, you bring humour and knowledge to what is, right now, a mundane forum, but you come across at times, so negative. Teach, share your views, but don't belittle. Someone like yourself can be great for these forums, but you give people a hard time (wether you mean to or not) and before you say something like 'it's just the way i am, they should harden up - no one else thinks so' etc - no... this is a forum - full of wonderfully different diverse people.
Let's all just agree to disagree.

how can you say there was no Hamilton subplot, every character in a movie has a subplot, they have history, they have input to the universe. Hamilton, it's not a far stretch to the imagination what his subplot is and then boom, he went down with the ship - sure, what else happened to him - is he alive, is he dead? why can't that be explored? Just as much as any other character can be explored.
There was talk that he is stuck in the phantom zone with the 'guardian'.What if later down the line, we find those two are stuck in the phantom zone, would that be too much of a stretch or suspension of disbelief?

We are all here for the same reason - our love and excitement for the movie.

no one is above anyone else.

Reply to me - if you must, but i'm only interested if it's A. positive and B about the movie - anything else, then , you're just missing the point.
Again, i love your knowledge, let's use it for good..... a force for good.

I stand behind every Zod damned word I typed out.

i forgot to add...

saliva and spittle deposits

He's not denying anyone's right to have an opinion. He's just saying his opinion is wrong.

I didn't say Emil Hamilton was a subplot. And for your information, I liked Man of Steel to a certain degree, but there were a huge amount of flaws in it. Several things about it that I didn't like, but I didn't hate the movie as a whole. Many aspects about the film, I was very pleased with. Having said that, Man of Steel had so much going on it, among all the flaws, there were so many, and as I said, too many subplots, that you sometimes had trouble following, and if only the film kept it to a minimum. Krypton is so busy in the opening of the film...it feels almost like we're watching Transformers. Furthermore, everything felt rushed, and it honestly needed better story editing.

I think most fans of MoS would acknowledge it's flaws. However, Hamilton was a minor character who was relatively inconsequential to the plot. They didn't forget about him. If anything, they gave him more closure than most blockbuster movies. If MoS was Transformers or Armageddon, the only closure poor Dr. Hamilton would've had is a shot of him cheering with a bunch of other minor characters after the threat's been extinguished.

Of any flaws MOS could be said to have it's extremely obtuse to say it had too many subplots. It's actually pretty straight forward with little digressions or mini arcs for it's characters. Please... Somebody point out these so called subplots that glutted the film. I would love to hear how it's filled with them. Sorry, this feels like the most silly of criticisms.

I would say the whole Krypton intro and the codex count as subplots. I wouldn't say the movie's riddled with subplots, though.

I agree that the codex is a bit of a subplot, but then it also is heavily tied into the main plot and is a prime motivator for Zod and his crew. It's the main reason Zod comes to Earth. But it's final fate is something Clark even doesn't know, true. Still, everything on Krypton is the origin of Superman, so I wouldn't say it's a subplot, any more than the the majority of the Krypton sequence in the Donner film is a subplot.

MOS has a couple of mini arcs. ect., like Lois's decision not to out Clark, Hardy's acceptance of Superman and his mini rivalry with Faora, but the film is pretty lean with not a lot of fat, narrative wise to me.
