The Incredible Hulk will be matched against the oversized adversary Abomination, and Tim Roth will play the villain's alter ego, Emil Blonsky.

Variety says Roth is joining Edward Norton and Liv Tyler in the Louis Leterrier-directed film, which is being financed by Marvel Studios and distributed by Universal Pictures on June 13, 2008.

Blonsky is a KGB agent who deliberately exposes himself to the gamma rays that caused Bruce Banner to morph into the Hulk. Blonsky has upped the dosage, making him larger and stronger than the Hulk, but unable to change back to human form. He blames Banner for his problem, and makes his best efforts to destroy the Hulk.

The Incredible Hulk is being produced by Avi Arad, Gale Anne Hurd and Marvel's Feige. Jim Van Wyck, David Maisel, Ari Arad and Stan Lee are executive producing. Zak Penn wrote the script.

Wow! Another Academy Award Nominee!!! So if Modine is still in this pic he is either General Ross or Doc Sampson. Hmmmmm.

Wow, they've got a REALLY good cast for this movie!

holy s**t  ... i'm like...

Wow, I'm very impressed with the casting so far on both Marvel produced films.

Both Ironman and The Incredible Hulk have been nothing but good news.

Very pleasantly surprised.

TIM ROTH!!!!!!!!!! Wow, the cast just keeps getting better.

please, Please, PLEASE don't let them make A-bomb into some 15" tall monster that dwarfs the Hulk! Roth's casting is great but the Abomination needs to be roughly the same size as the Hulk, around 8-9 feet.

HELLYEAH!!! THIS MOVIE IS GONNA KICK SOME SERIOUS ASS!!!

Modine will be.... notta', as in not in the movie.

^I concurr. I never would have though Blonsky would be very appealing to most actors since once he becomes the Abomination, that's it....he doesn't go back. Even the voice is different I'd imagine. I've always loved Roth though. Mr. Orange rocks!

AWESOME!!!!

Tim Roth is an absolute badass mother f-er :word:

it's amazing how next year's 3 main superhero/comic films are gonna have all-star casts

1 - The Dark Knight (Bale, Ledger, Oldman, Caine, Eckhart, etc)
2 - Iron Man (Downey Jr, Paltrow, Howard, Bridges)
3 - Hulk (Norton, Roth, Tyler)

man oh man, 2008 is gonna be an amazing year!

Wow.
Yet another random casting.
The good thing is that Roth is a great actor and also adds on to the star power of the film, so far. Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk are lining up some fantastic casting.

Wow, great choice! I've always loved Tim Roth, he was even great in Planet of the Apes. This film is really seeding in fertile ground here. This movie will frickin' rock!

Another piece of good news for the film... I must admit, I'm impressed so far...

YES!!!! This movie will rule!!! :hulk: Now that we have top actors all we need is a believable Hulk!

He was in Burton's Planet Of The Apes remake, correct?

If so then, yeah; this guy does evil, cruel, and menacing like nobody's business!

Perfect!
