From both scores, out of all the tracks released and/or placed on youtube, I personally find myself going back to the end credits music for both films more often than I do any of the other tracks. They both take the best sections relating to themes of the films, mainly the sections relating to Batman and the more emotional sections relating to Bruce Wayne's loss and the tragedy Batman faces. Just out of curiousity, out of both end credits tracks which one did you perfer?
When it comes to (roughly) the first minute of each track I'm personally stumped. Both are easily the most exciting moments, IMO, and the most Batman-y. I'd be perfectly fine flipping a coin on this one.
For the middle section I'd give this one to TDK. I love the training montage & family memories pieces from Begins, but the redux of the sacrifice music from the final moments of the film to a much sadder tone really did it for me. Beautiful use of strings, really capturing the tragedy of the film.
The final section for both are used quite differently to different effects. Begins ends on a feeling of excitement on what's yet to come, TDK ends on an unnerving and foreboding use of The Joker's theme. But I'm going to go with Begins on this one, because it ends with a nice punch of excitement that I'm just a sucker for.
I personally, though, have a hard time deciding between these two as whole pieces rather than in sections. Picking one over the other doesn't mean anything for me because the next minute my mind could be changed. Even though I perfer some sections over others I'm satisfied in saying I love them both equally.
