Entourage

We already knew he was hard for cash but hadn't seen it affect his personal or professional life. The scene was necessary for dramatic and comedic purposes. Also, it was hilarious and at the end of the day, this is a comedy show.

I feel people sometimes forget that.

Yeah I'm pleased with what they're doing with Vince. I was afraid they would shrug it off after cannes. I'm glad they're not.

Ari b-slap of Davies was just classic sparkling gold. Awesome.

I thought it was a strong beginning to the season. Vince in the first episode is completely oblivious to the world and I like seeing him get back on the saddle and taking things seriously. I also am looking forward to the falling out I see coming between Vince and E over the firefighting project when Ed Norton makes it an Oscar-movie that Ari made Vinnie turn down.

Actually, I see this as building for E to get screwed. Norton's going to take the script and put an entirely new spin on it, changing enough to get the writing credit, and then E's clients are boned. Classic Norton :p

really...it's obviously a ploy to get vince jealous, and the whole world around him moving on. if you notice, the problem with the movie is that it was an indie film, and ari told him not to do indie film, but to do a studio film. so now, the movie that vinny wanted to do but was asked not to, is being upgraded to a movie he was told to do, but he wont because E got it done for someone else.

Pretty good episode, I'd probably rank it third from the three episodes we saw. The Ari/Davies spat was alright. Ari getting in the B-slap was hilarious. Drama puking on the cake was great as well.

Anyone who says Entourage is going down hill is f'n out of their mind. The episode tonight was out of this ****ing world! The ending was classic Entourage. Plus Val Kilmer comes back next week! Keeps getting better and better

I'm surprised it took so long for someone to come to the conclusion that Vince should do a supporting role to get back in Hollywood's good graces. I like what they're doing with Vince. I think he's really starting to see what it takes to maintain a career, and he's taking steps to fix himself.

Should be interesting to see how this all turns out. Anyone know if Ed Norton will actually appear on the show? Him and Mark Wahlberg were in the Italian Job together. Maybe they stay in touch?

And how nice to finally have a face to go with the name of evil, otherwise known as Tom Rothman!!

haha he looks like Harold Ramis.

I know Wahlberg makes another appearence or so I've read....I haven't heard anything about Norton.

my interest in this show sort of petered out last season. felt like almost an entire season of filler. this season however has really surprised me in its quality though. entourage is back to form.

I almost died when Drama did the "tweet" thing on The View :lmao:

good episode, although it did stick to the "Entourage formula" in many ways. Were Carla Gugino's cans always that big?

Good ep.Just watched it ONDEMAND. E i really stuck between doing right by his writer clients, and Vince.

The funniest episode I have ever seen! Drama as usual was incredible....mistaking Arnold for a rock :lmao:

Am I crazy or did the preview indicate that Ari is going to be offered the position of president of Warner Brothers?

Yes you did, I doubt he does it though(at least I don't want him to)

Having Bob back tonight was a clear indication that The Ramones project will be back. So I'm guessing Vince somehow becomes a part of that project now again.

Nor do I. First it seems very odd that an agent (even one as influential as Ari) would be named president of the biggest production studio in Hollywood.

Second, it seems like it would just be a cheap excuse to give Ari more independent storylines in order to ride the coattails of Piven's 3 Emmys.

Hopefully he'll some how arrange for Dana Gordon to get the job. Its always fun to watch her and Ari interact and she loves Vince.

My guess is Vince will do Smoke Jumpers to much critical acclaim and with Alan out of the way become the poster boy for Warner Bros, which includes head lining the Ramones biopic.

Also, this episode seemed weak. It seemed like the Dom plot was thrown together at the last minute. I remember early reports indicated that there was supposed to be an ongoing storyline of Dom having terminal cancer and eventually dying. It looks like they scrapped it at the last moment...probably for the same reason they scrapped Dom last time. Fan outrage. Doug Ellin needs to realize that no matter how much he wants Dom to work, fans just can't stand the guy.

Also, the B plot was pretty weak too. Turtle being Drama's assistant was funny at times, but then the second there is a chance for real character development of Turtle, he gives Drama the finger and drives off.

The only plot that seemed to work was Ari on the golf course.

On a brighter note, here is a minor spoiler:

In a few episodes, Eric's client (Bow Wow's character) has the pilot that was mentioned tonight picked up. But the studio decides to cast E's arch-nemesis...SETH GREEN!

That should lead to some funny moments.
