The Final season is announced to be coming July 24 (http://www.bscreview.com/2011/04/true-blood-season-4-and-entourage-8-premieres-announced/)

I really like this show. Ari Gold is one of my favorite characters of all time. After the terrible season 6 and the mediocre season 7 I hope they can give a satisfying conclusion to an otherwise cool series

Can't wait to see the end. One of my favorite series of all time.

Remember when Vince got beat-up by Eminem? hahaha!

Season 6 was terrible and season 7 was mediocre?

Well, that's something original, at least. Most people seem to think season 7 was the worst dog**** ever made.

I'm rewatching the DVDs right now. So, this season is only going to have 8 episodes, right? Hopefully they do make a final movie for this.

They should only do a movie if it's not all wrapped up by the last episode.

Else it's just superfluous.

The premiere was probably my favorite and the best Entourage episode since season 5
THey just went backk to the basics which was good.

Best episode I've seen in long time, bodes well for the final season.

T'was a good one. But the funny thing for me is, I hate Vince. Every episode, I hate him more and more. Entourage is kind of like Lost for me. I hate the primary character, but pretty much love every supporting one. Is that wierd?

Strong start to the season. I'm hoping the E/Sloan stuff is done for good; no shoehorning them back together... again. At least it seems the guys are good to go as a unit. Very interested to see how they follow, given that this is a short season even by Entourage standards.

Typical good stuff from Ari. I am really not liking his wife.

Yeah Ari's wife is really unlikable

But I do like the set up of having everyone including Ari and Scott being under the same roof. That could/should be great

I didnt like episode 2.

But I really liked episode 3. More classic Entourage stuff, so much of it was just about the entertainment business. I also like that they gave Vince something to do and a big  for the first time VInce visited Ari's office in I think 2 seasons. I also am glad that E didnt spend the whole episode whining about Sloan.

I liked that Ari got with Dana Gordon. But they really need to get Ari back with the rest of the guys. His storyline is starting to feel like a seperate show

It seems like theyre trying to cut the relationship stuff out (save for Ari) and I like that. Hopefully in up coming episodes they can go party or something.

and that ending. Woah. They really are going pretty dark. I mean the show has already been darker since season 7. But wow.

I've liked this season more than season 7 all the way through. For me, season 7 felt just like trying to develop the characters so they could go somewhere better and fresh in season 8, and we're just getting the payoff now.

I'd like to see E and Vince more buddy buddy, but I'm really liking everyone's story arc.

and I totally agree with you on the ending. That was intense and powerful. Plus, I love Dana and Ari! It'll never work though. Ari's gonna ruin it somehow, and if you check the two sentence synopsis for next week that you can find on HBO's site, it's pretty easy to guess how :(
Apparently Ari is escorting an "old flame" to Bobby Flay's restaurant to show just how well he's doing. It seems that old flame is Dana, and I bet she won't like it when she realizes she's a puppet to get back at his wife.

Yeah, the ending caught me off guard too. Even with last year's Vince subplot, that was still pretty intense.

Even though I love Kevin Connolly for always repping my NY Islanders on the show, his character has become completely annoying.

Yeah, E is no fun with Sloane not around. Of course, maybe I just miss looking at Emmanulle Chriqui.:woot:

There must be a hell of a last five episodes remaining, because outside of my dislike of Mrs. Ari growing to unfathomable levels, nothing has really happened... to me, at least. There's nothing 'wrong' with the offerings. I had just imagined things to be a bit more frenetic or involved with a short season.

Thought the Ari/Dana thing might go a bit further, but no real surprise in how that seems to be working out.
