WHo Should Get Some Recognition For Emmys This Year

How come people forget about How I Met Your Mother? It's easily the funniest show out there. I mean, I've never seen IASIP, but I know it's funnier than 30 Rock...

I'm sure How I Met Your Mother is a very funny show, but it's no It's Always Sunny. As far as i'm concerned, most, if not all, shows on CBS can just go **** themselves.

I'm glad 30 Rock isnt getting alot of recognition on this thread lol
Easily the most overrated show right now. I mean I like Tina Fey alot and the show isnt bad but no way does she deserve best comedy actress of Mary Louise Parker or even Jenna Fischer

I mean I know you will all think im nuts, but Tom Welling plays a damn good Clark Kent. Im suprised they never nominated John Glover for Lionel or Rosenbaum for Lex. They all three are very good even if two of them arent on the show anymore. Just I mean who thought it would last this long. Just think about it before you flame me.

Rosenbaum definitely should have gotten some recognition during Smallville's heyday.

:lmao: No he shouldn't have nor should Tom Welling.

:lmao: No he shouldn't have nor should Tom Welling.

Yeah, seriously... being the best on a **** show isnt too hard to accomplish. He was okay, but not Emmy-worthy.

Toni Collette - "United States of Tara" - Enough Said. She has to take an award home for that amazing piece of work.

Any actor/actress from True Blood, and the show as a whole needs to win as well.

Couldnt agree more especially just for the finale the way she was switching back n forth between alters was mindblowing. Seriously if she doesnt get one for it then I fully believe emmys dont mean ****

IASIP needs to get a nod it is easily the funniest thing on television followed closely by 30 Rock. Just the stuff they say on 30 Rock is downright brilliant writing

Is the final season of The Shield eligible, or did that fall under last year? If it's eligible, that in my opinion should sweep the board. Best Drama, Michael Chikils for Best Actor, CCH Pounder for Best Actress, Walt Goggin for Best Supporting Actor. Time for the Emmys to atone for 7 years of snubbing the greatest show on TV. It might go some way towards making up for snubbing the OTHER greatest show on TV, The Wire.

Best Comedy Big Bang Theory is the funniest show on network TV. I've only seen a few episodes of their first season but their second season was amazing, almost reaching levels of Always Sunny sometimes. It's the only show that comes close to "Seinfeld on crack". 30 Rock had their best season but IASIP and TBBT were just better. Party Down has so much potential, was fresh and funny.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The Office
30 Rock
The Big Bang Theory
How I Met Your Mother
Party Down

Best Drama It could be AMC vs. FX this year. Imagine the low ratings the Emmys will get if that happens. But they're the best destinations for quality original programing. 24 had it's moments, you could cobble together 6 great episodes to submit to the Emmys for a nomination. They also have the harder task of writing for the seventh time, 24 episodes that take place in real time on network TV versus 13 on cable. There are only 20 episodes total of Breaking Bad!

Breaking Bad
Mad Men
Damages
The Shield
Rescue Me
24

Best Actor Drama
It comes down to Michael Chiklis or Bryan Cranston, but I have to go with Cranston. Vic Mackey was already "Vic Mackey" when The Shield started, while we've been on a journey watching Walter White start his battle with cancer and become a secret drug lord.

30 Rock is so overrated....the only award it deserves is Best Actor =Alec Baldwin

There should be a best show that was cancelled category.

Michael Raymond-James (Rene) & Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette) from True Blood deserve something.

I definitely agree with this one, and I'm gonna throw in Rutina Wesley and Anna Paquin as well.

I also want to say Mary McDonnell (BSG), Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies), Neil Patrick Harris (HIMYM), Lee Pace (Pushing Daisies), and Sandra Oh (Grey's).

best drama: breaking bad
best actor in a drama series: bryan cranston

easily.

Big Bang Theory is no where close to the best comedy on television, even if you're only limiting it to network TV. How I Met Your Mother and The Office are way better than The Big Bang Theory

I agree How I Met Your Mother is still great. The Office has lost its steam, IMO. The Big Bang Theory definitely needs to get recognized. If not the show, then at least Jim Parsons.

Kyle Chandler should get some consideration.

The Office unfortunetly lost steam...and this is coming from somebody who enjoyed Season 4. They need to change it from being the Jim and Pam show

LOST.

That is all.

Maybe storyline wise those two are the best but for more and louder laughs in 21 minutes it's TBBT. At first I didn't think it was possible (or want to admit) but it was even funnier than 30 Rock. But that could all easily change in the fall.
