Entourage

The Turtle thing is just done, you gotta remember it's been like 5 months since the last eps in Entourage time.

I know, I liked how the season before last Turtle has a storyline outside being Drama's sidekick and Vince weedman. It'd be interesting to see him in a realationship.

Yeah, but we saw the beginning of the relationship, and now nothing? That's bad storytelling. They've gotta follow up on it and let us know whether they're still together or they broke up or what.

I agree,

plus Rufus was hilarious, I hope we see him more

I love this show, every episode is better than the last.

I enjoyed it as well. Walsh is a crazy mother****er. A director I'm not sure I'd trust with a project that big, but at the same time, you can't fire him off of HIS movie after he has rewritten it, directed it and is in the process of 3 months into post-editing. If E does that, he becomes the suit title that he and the audience hate Walsh giving him.

As for the movie, I think it is supposed to be bad but mainstream popular bad (think again, Scarface). Because in all the other movie clips they've made for their "films," they try and be subtle send ups of the genre but cool (low budget indie in Queen's Blvd. and generic superhero/Jim Cameron water movie with Aquaman) but the clips for this movie...they just look like a terrible movie that is laughably bad.

I think that is the direction they're going.

I also agree that just dropping Sloan off like that in a throwaway line was bad storytelling. I'd say the same for Turtle, but I didn't care about that subplot enough to mind.

I doubt we've seen the last of Sloane. E said they are taking a break, not broken up. We will probably get some sort of closure at some point.

Oh man, why can I not help but think Vince is shooting them all in the foot? His gamble on Brazil was just so wreckless after Manchester lost, and now it seems like he is talking another gamble on Walsh. I don't think Cannes really accepted the movie as is either and if they did, they only accepted it on Walsh's name as a well known, respected indie director. This isn't going to end well.

I don't think they got into Cannes either.

The guy that was editing the movie trailer when 'E' was watching it, did he say the movie sucked too? I couldn't make it out...

He said "too bad the movie doesn't look this good"

and when E questioned that comment he said "I didn't say anything".

I think the public is going to despise this movie. It has bomb written all over it. E seems to be good at feeling out what will be responded to positively and what will be bad. He has never been wrong before. Walsh is an ego maniac who is convinced of his own perfection and Vince seems too scared to go against that...or maybe just as egotistical.

Wait a minute, is 25 million a good offer? Do they still get a cut of the box office reciepts? If they sell a 30 million dollar movie for 25, they lose money. And where is Nick Rubenstein in all of this?

Spoilers obviously

Rehab.

And WHAT THE FLYIN' F*** HAPPENED TO COLEEN CAMP?!?!? Where the f*** is Yvette from Clue?!?

Okay, someone's about to get banned.

Or the movie could legitimately be good and E and that trailer dude are wrong. People involved in the production of some great movies have thought they sucked, I'm sure.

When has E ever been wrong about these things? Besides, the entire point of the gambling subplot was to show just how wreckless and egotistical Vince is.

Then they got in on Vince and Walsh's name recognition alone. This won't end well

They shot scenes at Cannes a few weeks back, thats my only evidence.

Ehhhh I really didn't like this episode. I have a feeling the movie sucks. :(

There's a first time for everything, and Vince didn't lose anything on the Manchester game, and he did actually win on the Brazil game. Maybe the subplot isn't so much about Vince being reckless as it is about Vince's luck and how good his gut usually is. It's just a different way of looking at the same events.

Damn, another great ep

Can't wait for next week.

It wasn't his gut that he was listening to. It was Dennis Hopper...a man who had already been proven wrong and Vince took the chance with him again regardless. Remind you of a certain Billy Walsh?

hahahaha...Drama got the worst end of the stick when it came to those 2 broads :woot:

I personally think the movie is engineered to be bad. It struck me from the "movie clips" we've seen that this is the only movie they've "made" that just doesn't look like a send up to a genre (Aquaman to superheroes and Queen's Blvd. to low budget indies) but it jsut looked like a really cheesy, lame and over the top piece of garbage.

I think it will get panned at Cannes, but the trailer will go to theaters and its violence and ridiculousness will make it a huge hit with American audiences (a la Scarface and Natural Born Killers).

As for the episode....meh. Billy Walsh, despite my support in the director getting his vision realized is portrayed as a complete imbecile asshat in this episode, so E trying to out him is more sympathetic (if misguided).

But overall this was a disappointing episode compared to how good the last season has been. Not much happened other than a hilarious send up of Harvey Weinstine of himself. what's sad is that is most likely true, he's just so powerful he can show himself to be a *******. I mean when Martin Scorsesse puts a character getting stabbed in the hand as a way to vent anger over a producer in GONY...y'know this guy has to be a *****e bag.

So-so episode, but I like where it is going.
