Entourage

Didn't Dana Gordon say the studio was considering someone else, and Ari asked who but the preview didn't show? Wouldn't it be funny, if the mystery actor was Wahlberg himself? Though I think a more likely candidate would be Jake Gyllenhaal considering him and Vince seem to have a career rivalry going. At anyrate, I really wish they would bring back Josh Weinstein to represent whoever the studio is considering. How great would it be to see him and Ari competing to get their client cast?

Can you really consider it a rivalry between Jake Gyllenhaal and Vince? Vince told the studio he didn't want to do Aquaman 2, he was going to do it only because he had to.

I'm enjoying Entourage quite a bit now. You seem to consider the show Vince and Ari's show, period. It's not. It's always been an ensemble cast--the ensemble being Vince, Ari, E, and yes, Drama and Turtle.

I enjoy the show when it's about the entire cast, when the show is Ari hanging out with a college pal or trying to get his kid into private school or getting his car switched by a valet, while Turtle and Drama are having another wacky adventure picking up aging stars, getting the mayor laid, going to the dog park. Meanwhile, Vince is betting on soccer games with Dennnis Hopper or just being a hanger-on to Turtle and Drama's wacky misadventure and finally E is the only character actually advancing the A season long plot, that's what I don't like. If it was about the 4 stars doing something together, while Ari crashes the party with a deal for Vince that'd be great, like the Gary Busey ep, the Playboy ep, things like that I enjoy. I'd also be happy if Drama and Turtle had side plots that actually developed their character, instead of what's increasingly becoming sitcom-esque wacky misadventures.

Well, I can't argue with the point about Drama and Turtle's subplots being pretty shallow. They seem to be trying to do a role reversal on Drama and Vince, with Drama being the big cheese and Vince being the broke sibling, but it hasn't really come off that well. It was funny when Drama was the broke sibling because he actually resented it; Vince is still too cool with everything to make the role reversal work.

For the rest, however, it's kind of unrealistic to expect the whole group to be doing things together all the time. But even if they were together all the time, it'd just lead to different annoying flaws, like Turtle and Drama once again being reduced to useless hangers-on while Vince, E, and Ari are doing stuff with Vince's movies. All I ever remember Drama and Turtle doing in Ari's office is sitting on his lobby's couch and reading magazines. Not exactly great television.

Love the ending to last nights Ep. Guess that kills Drama plan with the Mayor! LOL! :D

yeah I gagged at the ending,
no way is she a tranny in real life, she'ld be like the mona lisa of trannys

I've gotta agree with Crow. Watching that trailer, Medellin just looks really really bad. Its like Walsh tried to be overly artsy and just pumped out a self-indulgent piece of crap and I think it is going to blow up in his face. It is like the Entourage version of Bryan Singer :cwink:

Can this show get any better??? I love where its going. Drama was hilarious as ususal. I also loved the Ari Weinstein thing, Ari and Lloyd together are great! The trailer for medeillan looks amazing btw.

I disagree I loved the way it looked. The added scenes we hadn' t looked pretty damn good. Overall I liked it.

You think so? I think it tries too hard (which pretty much sums up Billy).

Maybe this is exactly what the Entourage crew wanted...because I notice it a lot in the fanbase. A mixed reaction towards Entourage. Maybe that is what will happen on the show and exactly what they intend.

Agreed that is probably what there going for. I bet the movie turns out to be received poorly by critics but loved by movie goers.

I loved the Weinstein Ari stuff tonight, getting Ledger off the project was hilarious.

Best use of Ari in a long time.

As for Medellin...the fact that it got into Cannes implies to me that it will be the exact opposite. Critical success, but the public hates it.

Just keeps gettin better every damn week. Another awesome ep tonight

It's been a bit shaky since coming back with the second half of season three, but each episode now is improving upon the last. I've been a follower since it premiered episode 1, and it's still a great show!

The reason I say it wil be hated by the critics and loved by the public is, the public usually goes for this over the top type stuff. Them getting into Cannes isn't that huge considering they only had to show them the trailer, which everyone including E seemed to love, eventhough he hated the actual film.

I thought Billy submitted the real movie to Cannes, not simply the trailer.

Also how funny was it when Walsh walked in with the "Suits Suck" shirt?!

That scene where Johnny Drama started getting paranoid in the trailer had me DYING!!!!!!!!!!!
