what are all of his powers? can he fly? i don't remember anything along the lines of him being able to not make footstep sounds?

What makes anyone think that sylar can even kill Peter? All he has to do is:
A: freeze sylar in place
or
B: Take Sylar's powers and use them (i.e. telekenesis)

well, technically, if choice A was put into action, Sylar would still be able to use his telekinesis to rip Peter apart, provided Peter doesn't make a force field or whatever else he could pull out of his arsenal of powers.

I'm more and more convinced Simone's father was powered, especially after Claude's comments about evolution and breeding pigeons for superior genetics. Quite far-fetched, but Simone could be the result of Mr. Deveaux's research and attempts to produce a super-duper-child by "breeding" with others with maximum super-potential.

I was just re-watching "Don't Look Back," and saw that the gun Hiro picked up when he discovered Isaac in his apartment was the same gun HRG gave Isaac in "Unexpected."

Peter may have met Eden since he visited Isaac and Mohinder around about the time she was hanging around those guys. Can't be certain tho I'd have to watch again when the DVD is released

He met Eden, but he wasn't aware of her powers. When under control, he uses the powers he absorbs by focusing his thoughts on that person. If that person doesn't exhibit their power in front of him, he doesn't know he has it at his disposal.

No, what he realized is that he couldn't save her. The brain tumor manifested as a result of him altering the impending death to Sylar. Basically, you can't cheat your death.

He also didn't go back in time to save Ando and himself. He said himself he closed his eyes. In any other time stopping moment that he's used to try and save someone, he physically did the saving.

anyone else notices the symptoms of all the people with powers are very similar?

at first they are overwhelmed (Matt's first telepathic ocurrences), then there's the chance they might die (Charlie's blood cloth), and it appears that some manage to pass these two stages, then they finally learn how to focus and control their powers (Claude, Hearing Lady, Haitian, etc)

there's lots of patterns that had been showed since the begining, but they are becoming clearer as the series advances

I loved this episode, and I agree, Jeph Loeb should write more of them

so wait your saying he didn't cause a localized time distortion to change the present resulting in a life being saved because he altered events?

Yeah, that's the one. I'm glad to know that the production/writing team thought so far ahead; but that's sort of expected with this type of material.

That wasn't the case when he met Isaac.

When he is in the vicinity of people, he does it automatically. I dont even think he realized he was invisible when he was with Claude. To use his powers without being near someone he has to remember them or feel the emotional trigger that they made him feel which be the only way to explain the telekinesis since he didnt remember Sylar had that power right away.

Notice that Peter turned invisible before he knew he had... It's plainly clear that he can use powers without knowing where they've come from, taking is no problem.

If Peter's been in contact with Eden, that would explain the double-voice heard for a moment in Isaac's loft, the effect of Eden using her power... that'd be scary. Peter would be just too powerful then!

Simone, HRG, and Mohinder were the only main cast members that didn't have powers, and actually had their own story arcs. It's important to have that for realism and balance, so offing Simone may skew the balance a bit.
While I think she's gone, Tawny Cypress is officially credited in the next two episodes at least, so she may be alive (or it could be flashbacks).
