I dont think Sylar knows where Peter is/lives nor what his power even is
Hell Sylar may not even know that Peter has a power
Peter didnt use any powers against Sylar and Sylar took off before Peter healed himself

Even if Sylar knows about Peter's power I don't think Sylar would use it. I think he enjoys killing. I think that is part of the rush he gets when stealing other people's ability (the fast heart beat). He is a twisted psychopath.

it helped the mechanic stop hearing stuff... so Sylar used that "technique" too
