Evolution doesn't just skip races

Lucy is one of the earliest fossil record of humans ever found. She has the characteristics of man. And whomever above said that scientists think that apes and humans have different ancestors is wrong. Evolutionary theorists and scientists think that apes and humans have a common ancestor. The scientific term hominid, coming from the latin term hominidae, encompasses all the species originating after the human/ape ancestral split.

The fact of the matter is that scientists cannot find that link, that common ancestor, between men and ape. We can find a lot of fossils of apes and man, but that one link hasn't and probably won't be found. It is just as close as proving aliens, bigfoot, the loch ness monster, etc... exist. Science shows those creatures can exist, they just haven't found a body, bones, or 100% evidence as proof they exist.

lucy is always brought up by creationists, if you kept up with scientific discovery you'd find far better examples. also they do have different ancestors until you go back far enough to a commen ancestor. think of it as one big family tree, spanning eons.

And...what does this prove? That an editor can critique a brilliant scientists that relates his work to his beliefs? People who have religion and people who don't will always argue. It will never stop. Each side will continually try to trump each other by disproving there opponent. Whose to say one side is right or wrong? Once scientists can prove that God doesn't exist...then I will shut up. Until then, I will continue to believe what I believe and state my opinion. I merely told you above that I do not believe in evolution and why. I could almost guarantee you that the editor whom reviewed this book from the link you provided most likely does not share the same religious background as the author. That is like a Shiite Muslim or Communist reviewing our America's consitution...no s*** they won't agree.

You are an atheist fascist. You can not sit here and have a true debate. You constantly throw in baseless and ignorant opinions that have nothing to do with the topic. I also like how you continually show thousands of examples, facts, and figures to back up your thoughts.

I know and am well aware that apes and humans share a lot of characteristics. But that does not prove that they evolved from the same animal that scientists continually say. They have not found that common ancestor yet and probably will not. Until then they don't have 100% proof that apes and humans are related. Lizards and snakes share quiet a bit of characteristics as well. But they haven't found that common ancestor to prove they are related. You cannot have a family tree unless you have the trunk to start it off with...and the scientists have not found that 'trunk'.

I didn't want to do the background research for both of these guys so thanks. I hate it when crackpot Christians go out and make everyone else look bad. It is just like the current Muslim situation. A small group go out into the world and make a bad name for the rest of their culture. I have seen some crackpot religious yahoos in my day as well. But on the other hand, there are some crackpot scientists who don't take into account all the real world variables as well.

i'm not the one calling people fascists now am i. the facts are out there you just have to read them from an unbiased source. you have shown noting of any relevence. so i inturn do the same. mirroring your behaviour back at you seems to annoy you.

i'll say again they've found alot. it paints a picture and it doesn't fit anything but the evolutionary model.

Then you're asking for an impossibility. Scientists have no desire, nor do they have a need, to prove God's existence or non-existence. The onus of proof is on those who make the claim that he exists. But scientists do not care. Unfortunately, your knowledge of evolution, at least from the last few pages, demonstrates that you know very little about that as well. And I don't think that any little discussion here will change that. I don't get the idea that you're looking to be convinced, nor do I think any facts, figures or evidence provided will convince you.

So I'm arguing with racists on the Stormfront website.

We've gotten around to the whole thing of how they think white people are naturally superior. I've pointed out that in order for white people to be superior, evolution would have had to have just skipped the other races. Which is just ridiculous. In addition, in order for their "we're superior" theory to work, evoltution would have to take a few hundred years. One of them actually said this, that evolution takes place over a few hundred years. Now, obviously, he just conveniently believes this because it fits in with his racist beliefs.

But it's completely and utterly stupid. There is NO proof of this. I've asked, and I'm sure they're ready to post insane propeganda. Another stupid argument was that the fact that there are many breeds of dogs is proof of evolution taking place in a small period of time. Um, no.

So yeah, I was just wondering what kind of hard facts I could just throw in their faces to humiliate them. And any other tidbits of info that would be helpful in knocking down the contradictory and hypocritical stack of cards that the belief in white supremacy is.

anybody who uses the evolution argument to argue that their race is more evolved or superior has no understanding of the theory of evolution. You evolve to your environement. each race evolved to their specific location of origin. that's why we are different. blacks are better equiped to deal with the heat of africa, and caucasians were better equipped to deal with winter. our nose sticks out becaus it actually warms the air before we breathe it in a little bit every time. africans have wider noses to allow heat to escape. that is also the cause of the different overall shape of the skull.

blacks have darker skin to block out harnful UV rays to help prevent skin cancer. Caucasian ancestors didn't have to worry about this so we never developed darker skin.

all fo our physical differences benefited our races equally. nobdoy is more evolved than anybody else.
