Evolution doesn't just skip races

So I'm arguing with racists on the Stormfront website.

We've gotten around to the whole thing of how they think white people are naturally superior. I've pointed out that in order for white people to be superior, evolution would have had to have just skipped the other races. Which is just ridiculous. In addition, in order for their "we're superior" theory to work, evoltution would have to take a few hundred years. One of them actually said this, that evolution takes place over a few hundred years. Now, obviously, he just conveniently believes this because it fits in with his racist beliefs.

But it's completely and utterly stupid. There is NO proof of this. I've asked, and I'm sure they're ready to post insane propeganda. Another stupid argument was that the fact that there are many breeds of dogs is proof of evolution taking place in a small period of time. Um, no.

So yeah, I was just wondering what kind of hard facts I could just throw in their faces to humiliate them. And any other tidbits of info that would be helpful in knocking down the contradictory and hypocritical stack of cards that the belief in white supremacy is.

I agree with CConn and JLBats, it’s a waste of time, no matter how good the fight. If they had the ability of reason and, well, the ability to evolve; they'd realize how completely asinine their beliefs are.

While I don't believe this is true it is theoretically possible that one race is "naturally superior" to another. Your denial of and indeed the whole concept of "evolution skipping races" doesn't make sense. Evolution is a result of separation and nicheing, which can easily impact one group of persons and not another, or impact two groups of persons in different ways. How do you think races started in the first place? Humans living in colder climates developed fairer skin and vice versa. That's evolution. Does it mean that one race is "superior" to another? No. But does it mean that one race could theoretically evolve to be "superior?" Sure.

Theoritcally, what he/she said is true. However, in today's industrialized world, where most countries are civilized, the survival of the fittest does not apply. Most people survive with genes that would normally get them killed in the wild, such as stupidity, genetic physical/mental defects, or just looking funny. Modern society helps them live and pass on their genes.

However...if a seperated group of people did evolve, they would be better/worse, depending on the mutation. It could happen...

I don't want to start a flame war or sound like a racist, but isn't the whole point of "affirmative action" that black people in America are a little behind intellectually because of slavery, because of the smart slaves being systematically wiped out ("If you can read, you die" and so forth), and big, strong, dumb slaves being bred in order to make even bigger, stronger and dumber slaves?

Isn't that what the American government is telling African-American people through Affirmative Action, that because they're not as smart as white people they need to be given a head start?

^It can be viewed in that fashion, but it also comes up to the educational system in the black communities being close to nil compared to the others. I went to college my first year, kids were talking about how they had already studied trig, and various other math related models that I had never heard of, and I was only one of a couple other people in math courses that felt behind.
