Anyways, I think it's pretty awesome that there's some nerdy guerrilla war happening in the alleys of Chicago. It's actually like the gang warfare in the movie! I totally wish I was there.

Your point was that still there wasn´t the "definitive" version of Joker for it to be compared to, and I mean that "definitive" is relative. Anyway, it doesn´t matter if it was the introduction, if there was an internet full of know-it-alls like it is now, they´d say, "blah, this character sucks, it´s a rip-off of that Conrad Veidt movie"...

Yeah, it's actually from Dorothy Parker, a short story writer from the turn of the century. Or at least that's the earliest one. He made it a little more famous for saying it on a live 70's interview show and then drank most of a bottle of cream sherry in between comments.

it's not. heath was skating all over the place. The carcam was moving in the opposite direction of where the chase was going. Heath was just skating along with the cars.

Well, the reason I like it so much is because Heath Ledger is AMAZING. He truly changed himself for that role, and his character is actually very Joker like. I remember I was watching it on TV not to long after Ledger was cast, and I was like "Damn, this is the Joker I'm lookin' at here!"

But it's well made, well acted, good story, good everything. I really like it. Not a cheap punk movie at all.
