I'm curious. How often or how much do you guys appreciate or purchase extended warranties for electronics?

Depends on the electronic. DVD player? Fuhgedabodit. But say, my MacBoook. This baby is covered for another 5 years.

Depends how expensive in the first place it was and if i have had a similar product that ****ed up after a year

For big ticket items like appliances, high end computer systems, and high end televisions, I'll cough up for the extended plan if I feel it's a good plan and worth the extra piece of mind. Usually, though, no.

Has anyone heard of the warranties from Repair Master ARMT32500 through http://www.jr.com/? They offer in-home service, parts and labor and replacement stuff. I don't know how good they are though.

Some stores, like Costco, for instance offer free lifetime warranties for some of their products. It really just depends on where you buy your stuff.

Hmmm...Probably not for big screen TVs..
