Bumping the pics because no one seemed to notice them first time around :o

Oh sorry I didn't know I was supposed to comment on them lol:O Yeah man my mouth dropped when I saw those pictures. Hey Mentok since your an xbox fan you would know do you think the PS3 version looks a lot better than the 360 version. I would say something but then get passed judgement. and then I'd probable have my feelings for the PS3 slide in and totally blow it out of proportion.

I haven't looked at the 360 version of F.E.A.R that closely, but the PS3 pics of F.E.A.R look noticeably inferior to the PC's:

The PC version clearly has sharper textures, more detail and better shadowing. It's also less blrurry.

I dont label myyself. Im a gamer. I play any game that interests me

I have only seen low res pics for the X360 version... They seem pretty much the same to me.

I will make a better judgement when they release some footage of both versions.

X360 version (its a few months old now)

From these pics I would have to say

1- PC - The best looking but thats what you get with a good Gaming PC anyway.
2- X360 - Less detail than the PC version but still clean and sharp.
3- PS3 - Seems washed out and less detailed.

I'd say both console versions will at least match the PC version when they actually release. There's no excuse for anything else considering the 360 and PS3 specs, not for two-three years anyways. Unless they have some untalented dopes porting this, it will look better.

The F.E.A.R COMBAT pack has just gone online for the PC. Its good that it will be built in to the X360 version for XBL play

I assume the PS3 version will be online too.

I played COMBAT today for a solid hour... Multiplayer on the consoles will kick ass. The maps in the PC version are Greeat and the gameplay is spot on

the PS3 version is missing the bump maps again. textures designed for use with bump maps look washed out without them. there's no reason the PS3 can't do bump maps tho. so it must just be the last bit of code in the work schedule. converting the code to sony's open gl version. either that or they can't fit the maps in memory. which would mean the engine was badly designed when it comes to consoles.

I'm not so sure about this. Not after Bethesda botched on the promise of the 360 version of Oblivion looking as good as the PC version on the best possible hardware. Developers should really stop all this multiplatform crap and focus on exclusive games that properly utilize the strengths of the hardware in question.

Bethesda didn't botch it, the X360 version is the PC version with all the sliders up and the resolution set at 720p. The only difference is that the PC version can download higher resolution distance textures and stuff. I've seen the Oblivion PC version on the extremely high can't-play-this-it's-too-much-lag settings, and I own the 360 version, there really isn't a difference. And besides, Bethesda botched a lot more than graphics with that game :(

My roommate has the 360 version and I played Oblivion on my PC. There are noticeable differences to say the least - the framerate doesn't chug as much in the outdoor areas on a good PC as it does on the 360, the loading times are faster with sharper textures. Plus, I get a really good resolution that helps the PC version of Oblivion stand out, even if it's not by any significant margin. I think even Gamespot's review talked about Oblivion looking a wee bit prettier on the PC. Even so, the differences are unacceptable considering the superiority of the 360's hardware.

Did you have a HDD? I've never noticed any of those things, but meh, I haven't played Oblivion in a long time, so I may be crazy. And what was a lie Mentok? That Oblivion screwed up a lot?

I hated the menus and navigation screens in Oblivion. Thank heavens for the BT User Interface mod.
