It amazes me how much patience I had as a kid for stuff like that. Nothing else, but for Dragon Ball Z, I waited.

It was great. You could tell he was nervous but the reaction seemed to really help him relax as it went on.

I haven't had a chance to watch any of it yet given the time difference and I'm not certain I'm of the constitution to handle the Carrie Fisher tribute video while there's people around.

I remember Dragon Ball Z was on in the cartoon block after school on YTV. There was Pokemon, Monster Rancher, Digimon, stuff like that. But when I played basketball, I missed it during the afternoon airing. So I would wake up at like 6am to watch the replay the next day. If we didn't have PVRs, and a show asked me to do that now, that show would go bye-bye.

And yeah Carrie's video and seeing Billie in a Leia inspired dress talking about her mom was something. It got hard and then John Williams showed up to play Leia's theme and there was no point in resisting.

I love the look of Dragonstone. I get why they didn't do that for the show, because it might look a tad ridiculous, but the dragon spires are cool.

Despite all the flaws, I love Game of Thrones. But season 5 and to a lesser extent season 2 are just not good adaptations of the material. That being said, Blackwater and Hardhome might be their best television.

I read a number of issues from the first run, I don't remember where I left off. But yeah, I remember one of my reactions was "wow, that's a lot of *****". Accurate adaptation.
