Drama "F1" Formula One Racing Film (Brad Pitt & Joseph Kosinski)

I wouldnt be against a sequel or the cross-over with Days of Thunder to get Brad and Tom in the same movie again thats been muted. Story wise it would work pretty easily as Hayes travels around different race types anyway.

A straight F1 sequel could work too pretty easily though, sure they could think of something to bring Hayes back into the F1 world.

To be honest, I can’t see a Days of Thunder sequel blowing up on its own the way Top Gun Maverick did.

But now a crossover with this, especially with how big a crowd pleaser this is, would definitely be the start move. Cruise V Pitt. It writes itself.

This was a great way to spend nearly three hours at the movies. Not as strong as Top Gun: Maverick, but the races are simply thrilling, even for someone like me that couldn't care less about cars or sports in general. The script might not be reinventing the wheel, but it's eminently functional, which is more than I can say about most blockbusters. It deserves to be seen on the biggest screen possible, so I'm glad it has an exclusive deal with IMAX until Superman comes out.

Im never been interested in F1 at all.
The whole world around it is so boring and cliche.

But i like the soundtrack by Zimmer..

I wish I had gotten to see this on an IMAX. Saw it at a very fun local cinema while on vacation in San Francisco, and while the theater itself was lovely, the screen and presentation was pretty underwhelming. Without the race sequences having the visceral impact that was intended, I was left here with an extremely (long) and by-the-books racing movie that hit every single expected beat one by one.

I don't know, you could argue Maverick did the same thing but for whatever reason that movie worked like gangbusters on me and I found this one just fine. It had Kosinki's super slick execution, and I'm sure the race scenes were cool in IMAX. execution. As an overall movie though, I liked Ford v Ferrari a lot more.

This was a solid fun time at the movies. The story is whatever. I wish there was a bit more dramatic stakes but this movie succeeded at what it set out to do. Its a slick summer time feel good movie.
