Guys, I suck! I always fall so behind on my reading that I can't ever participate in the DC conversations on here. :(

I think, right now, I'm like 3 months behind in all my books!!

But there's so many spoilers everywhere, I always know the major plot twists b/f I read'em. :down

At home right now, I've got an entire box of unread DC books from the last few months! I think the issue laying on top (the next one to read) is Flash #13.....I haven't even started the Sinestro Corps storyline yet!?!

How in the world do I catch up when College Football has started on Saturdays, the NFL's on Sundays, and as of 9 days from now, the new Fall TV season will start!!! :wow:

What is everyone's advice, and do I need to give up on some of my books??

In terms of falling behind, how far is too far before you just give up?!? :csad:

Advice:

The sh**ter. Read comics on the sh**ter.

Forgive me for being naive but I thought I was like the only person to do that.:woot:

Dude they're like the best thing to take in there, cause then when you're done with your business you've only got however many pages worth of a comic to read, 'stead of being caught in the middle of some novel just when it's getting good.

I usually take a Wizard in there so that I can finish one or two of their short articles without having to stop and, whatever I need to stop reading for.

And if the book you bought turned out to suck, you've got extra toilet paper at your disposal.

And 3 months behind is nothing. I read all Vertigo books in trade paperback format. I can never enter their respective threads without getting massive spoilers.

Only you, Dragmire, only you.

I quit reading comics after 'Knightfall'. I didn't pick back up until I read the Superman/Batman: Public Enemies trade. That was over 10 years of catching up I had to do. It was expensive, but fun.

i've never really had that happen, as I generally read the books the first day or so that i pick them up. although, i do find myself not bagging/boarding the books but once every few months.

now THAT is no fun. Having something like 300 books to throw in protective sleeves and file them. reading the books is an easy thing. you can read books in the car while at lights, on the john, during commercials, waiting for the pizza/dinner to be done/get there, so on and so forth.

I read comics while I'm pooping, too. But sometimes, if the comic is too text-heavy, my legs start to fall asleep. :down

It's even worse when your significant other wants you to hurry up, and when you try to get up your legs are asleep and you fall down. Then she walks in the bathroom and sees you, pants around your ankles, writhing in pain while desperately clutching this months issue of Batman, not wanting to get it dirty.

Yeah. That definitely sounds worse than just having my legs fall asleep. How are you not emotionally scarred?

I sit in my car outside the shop and read them I only read trades on the pooper.

man ive been out of the game about 4 months but when this new job roles threw i will be tearing it up

The irony of the thread title and the name of the thread starter is pure awesome.

The way I avoid the spoilers when I'm behind is plain and simple: Don't check the threads of those titles you are behind on.

Other than that, I read the titles I'm most interested in (like SoA, JSA for a few examples) first; so within the first 3 days of getting it. The others, sometimes I don't read til 1 week later (Countdown for an example).
