He's actually Cap's partner. I've seen side kick used, but people really need to let that word go in terms of using that with Falcon and Cap. Even Mackie stated that him and Cap are very much partners, just like the comics. Not relaying this just to you, but in a general sense. It's annoying when I see everyone saying side kick. They are seen as equals.

They didn't bother to say where Hawkeye was in TWS, nor Rhodey in Avengers.

Hawkeye absence will be explained in AOU. And honestly is it that serious? He's an agent that goes on other missions. I mean that can't be hard to imagine. Plus, TWS had sufficient characters for me not to think about Hawkeye.

SHIELD won't be gone forever, I'm pretty sure they'll resurface in some manner down the line in the MCU.

Whatever is decided Ultron must come from either Stark or Pym or both because that is a core part of the issue with dealing with Ultron is the fact that those 2 were his creators and all the ensuing friction and regret it causes.
I'm interested to know if Ultron will be by himself or have his Ultron army, particularly with the Sentinels coming up in X-Men audiences might feel like it's a bit of a rip off especially if they have Master Mould in X-Men.
SHIELD I would think still exists in some form but more of an underground network as we know Nick Fury has outhouses all over the place fully equipped.

^^ I dont think Pym will be associated with ULTRON in AOU. They already have a science whiz in the MCU (Tony). I think ULTRON will def have a drone army at some point in the movie. SHIELD will be seen as a failure by The Avengers and the US Gov't after TWS. I dont think theyll be reformed. Nick Fury will prob work as a special agent for The Avengers now.

I think Stark who has a long history with A.I (he graduated Magna *** laude from MIT with his dummy/scutter droids) will be the main creator of Ultron. Something he may have been putting together for SHIELD unaware of HYDRA's main scheme from CA:TWS.

Once HYDRA (using Zola tech) try to activate Ultron he goes sentient/haywire which no one can control.

HYDRA's involvement with Ultron and discovery of their 'experiments' draw in Cap, Black Widow and Thor. Cap and Black Widow will wish to confront any HYDRA operatives and Thor will wish to capture the sceptre for Odin's (really Loki) vault. Stark feels responsible for Ultron's creation.

Hawkeye is already in Europe under orders of Fury and Ultron's first target (under orders from HYDRA) is Banner.

I have just realised that I have inadvertently typed out my idea to what I think the main plot points are for getting everyone involved. I totally appreciate that what I have written could be utter nonsense...

^^ I like some of your ideas, but since SHIELD/HYDRA was already doing Project Insight, they wouldnt need ULTRON. And we probably wouldve heard about it by now if HYDRA had something to do with it.
