Fanboy Orgasm on Smallville??

What's his "superpower"....more than just good aim with bow and arrows?
Master archer, arsenal of trick arrows, and hand-to-hand combat training.

Besides the 'shopped in blue irises, there's something about that picture that just doesn't look right. He looks.. different.

I wish they had left his eyes their natural green/blue.

I think he looks thinner... maybe he lost some weight?

Or maybe they shopped him too much....

*shrug*

Here for whoever wants to know about Green Arrow.

Personally I'm stoked, he is one of my favorite characters from the DCU, right under Supes, and right next to Batman. The idea of him starting the form the Justice League of America is awsome.

I was wondering how they were going to top last seasons Milton Fine, and this is a good start. :D

I'm with you Serene. Me know nothing about Ollie.

If one of our devoted fanboys in here could give us a rundown, I would appreciate it. :)

I usually find the onsite descriptions of these characters too long winded and there are always several interpretations to sift through as well.

I'd be happy to help. If you have any specific questions about him, feel free to ask.

It will probably be easier than reading the long winded site descriptions.

Okay.. who's the teeeny widdle guy on Hawkman's right shoulder?
A Lilliputian superhero?

Nevermind Serene, you were already answered.

Sure just knock my long winded site description.:( ;)

That is Dr Ray Palmer. The Atom, he can shrink in size.

Any relation to Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen?

Thanks for the answers, btw. :)

You too, B8. ;)

Not really. The Watchmen takes place in a different reality, since their world ended up in destruction and apocalypse.

A little fun fact is that Dr Manhattan was actually based off another character with a similar name; Captain Atom from Charleton Comics (now merged with DC).

Captain Atom is a superhero made of pure nuclear energy, funny enough Oliver Queen protests Captian Atom's very existance since hes against Nuclear Power

Flash looks pissed off that he's got to stand next to lame-o's like Aquaman and Hawkman.....

Ah. I think I may have read that at some point... it sounds familiar.

Was Capt. Atom ever a cartoon? He seems familiar now that I think about it.

I think he was on the Batman/Superman Hour of Adventure or whatever the heck it was called in the 1960's-70's

...sigh. back in high school, when i was buying $100+ worth of comics a week, the shop owner and i used to sit down for a few minutes once a week, and he would pull out comic covers and art just to see if i could guess who drew it. my favorite memory was when he pulled out a joe madueira cover drawn before he adopted his distiinct style. and i hit it spot on. yes i was (am) a dork, but i sure do miss those days.

I think his rights are tied up also. Peter Segal was recently confirmed as the director for Shazam.

from Comics continuum:

"We are extremely psyched to introduce Oliver Queen on the show," Gough said. "The Green Arrow is one of the seminal figures in the DC Comics Universe. It will be exciting to explore this character over an arc of episodes rather than just one-and-out. "

Green Arrow will be played by Justin Hartley, who starred in the Aquaman pilot that The CW passed on. The character will be recruiting heroes and might serve as a potential love interest for Lois Lane.

Green Arrow won't be the only DC guest-star, Gough told The Continuum.
"Also, expect to see the return of Flash and Cyborg in the near future," he said.

^This could be confusing if aquaman is picked up midseason.

Well, will Aquaman return also? It'd be really funny (and also a bit weird) to have Smallville's Aquaman meet up with the guy who was going to be Aquaman.
