Depends on who you're asking.

Captain Stacey and I are both old school FF fans.
He seems to love the show, whereas I would wipe its existence from the face of the Earth if I could.

Different strokes and all that.

It is a bit too bouncy and anime, but I kind of enjoyed it. Something to watch, I guess.

you know, it IS light but it is a pretty damn great work

it's not a typical superhero cartoon of sorts but it works, especially with the contrast to the batman season four which is pretty dead serious

The dvd is kind of a waste of money ... IMO. It is only 4 episodes I believe, right? I saw it tonight at Virgin.

Looks like they are going to start the series back up in June to coincide with the movie and the DVD extra release of the first movie....

If you know how to use torrents, go to Mininova.org and search for Fantastic Four. They have Revenge of The Skrulls, bait Switch, Impossible Man, and a couple other episode that have aired in canada to download. Hope this helps..

Oh thanks November Rain, im surprised..I actually enjoyed those episode...but Im not digging the way the storm siblings look but thing and reed are good.

The only thing that annoys me about the new cartoon is the voice of Johnny, everything else is pretty enjoyable to this adult. BUT, that voice has got to go.

It is,and i think the animation that is currently in the World`s Greatest Heros cartoon is very close to that.Any word on a date when the cartoon will return?Or more information about it?

Not very well, no.
And not very well in the late 70's either.

The 94/95 cartoon came closest. And the second season was (in my opinion) a much better FF show than this um, attempt.

I thought the '60's version was fine for it's time. It fit with the animation style of the day and, for a large part, the stories and animation emulated the Kirby artwork. There were certainly scenes that were lifted straight off the comic page.

'70's version was tolerable but nothing to really enjoy... Herbie replacing Johnny was a travesty.

'90's version - season 1 bad...I still can see the image of Galactus licking his chops over devouring the Earth. But Season 2 was great... different animation studio with cleaner and more accurately depicted characters and actions.

This latest version... I enjoy it, but it doesn't compare with the 2nd season of the '90's series.
