Cole Hauser was the best thing in 2F2F. Perfect casting and character for the setting.

I was wondering does anyone know why Devon Aoki wasn't in this? I don't think her character was even mentioned.

I didn't miss her to be honest. lol Luda and Tyrese were the more memorable characters from 2Fast.

Does Devon even still make movies? I havent seen her in anything for a while.

Thats a great hold, I expected another 50%+ drop. It's frontloaded but it's actually well liked by the fans of the series.

I saw this movie last night and the theater was still packed. This should be the end of series. [BLACKOUT] We'll just disregard Michelle's return.[/BLACKOUT] No more sequels.

I'm surprised by how much the movie is making.
I thought it would do around FF4's numbers or less. Good to see how it's doing.

Did you guys see the interview where Vin said he wouldn't do Fast Seven without seeing how seven, eight, and nine looked as a 3-movie arc?

Six would be in Europe, so maybe:

Fast Seven: Russia
Fast Eight: Dubai, Doha or Abu Dhabi
Fast Nine: China? Africa?

this is the most overrated movie of the year...
i just dont get it, there was nothing special about this movie. borderline bad/laughable in some parts...

like the scene where vin and paul walker are talking about remembering their fathers.. it was like watching two blocks of wood talk to each other.

i already forgot 90% of the movie lol

hahah, yeah the acting is pretty putrid.

but i still enjoyed it because it's a lot of fun, and the action is pretty unique, and the rock is badass.

The only acting I thought was terrible was Paul Walker, he always tries to be cool but can't pull it off.

Her character really wasn't that important in the film, I remember her being in like one race and then a few scenes just sitting around, and being part of the diversion towards the end.

Just curious, if they decided to do a spin-off of The Rock's character, would you go see it? I know I would. He was awesome.

Sure. He was cool. Glad to see that people have enjoyed the film. My parents (in their mid to late 50's) saw it and quite liked it. When they saw the others they were far from impressed, so that says a lot about the new direction they took with this film.

Fast Five increased with actuals! $20,444,270 -37.0%

Domestic: $169,690,470 38.4%
+ Foreign: $271,700,000 61.6%
= Worldwide: $441,390,470

Heh heh. Yeah I don't think anyone watches these F&F movies expecting good acting (at least I hope not) or a well thought out plot. They are modern day Stallone or Ahnold movies.

Saw it today and loved it, a real throwback to the oldschool big budget action movie, filled with real stunts. It was just great to see a big budget action movie with no mystical destinies, wizards, vampires or guys with powers.

The heist plot line was simple but fun, the crew bounce off each other well and each brought a little bit to the table, and The Rock was badass as Cobb.

Justin Lin showed with a big budget that he has a real eye for action, the foot chase through the shanty town, the Dom vs Cobb fight and the ambush shootout were all great, even the slightly crazier opening sequence was good, but the finale 'Safe' chase was easily my favorite car chase since Bad Boys II, epic stuff.

All in all it isn't brain surgery and wont win any Oscars, but Cool cars, big action, hot ladies and a bit of humour = good times in my book! :D Easily the best of the series.

9/10

I'm surprised to say I really enjoyed this movie. I thought it was going to be all about racing, but it turned out to be a strong, solid action flick!! :)
