Fast & Furious 7

After seeing Furious 6 I'm pretty excited about this. The 1 year gap had me worried about the script, but this one sounds like a straight revenge plot. If they don't convolute it, it'll be fine. Hopefully Wan can deliver, though, Lin's vehicular action in F6 was otherwordly.

I agree with to an extent with regards to the main cast being big enough. However who knows what the plans are for the cast and what path the story will take... Who know what will happen to the current cast, killed off e.t.c. I don't expect them to Kill Dom or Brian off any time soon but I can definitely see The Rock as a possible victim although i do feel he was an aspired addition to the cast. I can just see him as expendable in a story point of view.

He has said that he would not be back because this would conflict with Hercules.

So I saw El Mayimbe tweeting that they are targeting a major female pop star for a role in this movie. Any idea who it is? Beyonce?

Or Rihanna or Nicki Minaj. They are the only three who fit into this film franchise.

Domestic: $238,015,000 30.9%

= Worldwide: $771,115,000

Why's that? Anyone could fit, IMO. I mean what exactly are the requirements to fit into these silly movies? Good acting definitely ain't it, lol...

i don't want rihanna anywhere near this franchise tbh i'm not a fan of hers and in the acting of hers i've seen, she's not a good one

Maybe it's just me, but I think these movies are geared more towards the hip hop/rap crowd, so I think they'll go with someone who is either in that genre or works closely with that genre. Only three names come to mind: Beyonce, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj.

They've had Ludacris, Bow Wow, Tego Calderon and Don Omar in these movies. Calderon and Omar are two of the biggest names in Latin rap and Ludacris is one of the big names in rap.

She's certainly no Paul Walker. :o

i was actually going to comment on how no one in these films are turning out award worthy performances, but i thought that went without saying haha

but she's even more stiff than the case. i actually don't think Ludacris has been that bad in these films surprisingly.

I like Paul Walker though.

I actually like the cast as a whole as well. Even Paul Walker. He's got a cheesy charm to him. I think the only one I can't stand is Tyrese. From Transformers to this, he just never rubs me the right way.

Remember the Avengers references all through out the last film? There's this article I've read about how each members from Dom's crew corresponds to each Avengers, like Paul Walker's O' Conner is to Captain America, which is a likeable uptight white guy that is noone's favorite :hehe:.

i like the cast as well. they just work well together and mesh. i could see them as friends off-screen

as for the reports earlier about Denzel, i just saw a news blurb that he might do a cameo in transformers 4. how many movies are trying to get him now? lol

That Denzel news, alongside Statham's reluctance to admit he's the out and out villain makes me think he's not the main bad guy in the film.

That will piss me off if that's true.

Yeah he will be the main villian although that doesnt mean he isn't working for someone else who may or may not be played by Denzel which would lead to him being main villain in the next one if there is one. Think mid credit scene like 6 but with Denzel..

As James Wan's Fast & Furious 7 gears up for production, Variety is reporting that mixed martial artist Ronda Rousey is in talks for a supporting role. She'd join Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Jason Statham along with a returning ensemble cast that has yet to be fully confirmed.

Continuing from the cliffhanger tease at the end of Furious Six, Fast & Furious 7 is said to return the action to Los Angeles, although the production is eyeing an Atlanta shoot.

Rousey recently made headlines when she signed on to join the cast of the upcoming The Expendables 3. The first American woman to have ever taken home an Olympic medal for Judo, Rousey scored a bronze in the 2008 summer games in Beijing.

Fast & Furious 7 is slated to hit theaters on July 11, 2014.

I'm not sure about James Wan, he has never done any action before, did they just hire him because he's asian too?

Interesting. One hell of a way to make your mark on action cinema.

I hope Rhonda will be more chasimatic than Gina Carano, in whom I like too. Gina did fine in Haywire, but man, she was so stiff and uncomfortable looking in Fast 6. It felt like Justin Line had to cut/edit around Gina's performance in certain scenes.
