Is the woman in the background Jeirmarie Osorio from Fast Five and Vince's baby mama? And how is Dom wearing Letty's cross if Ian Shaw tossed it at Han's wrecked car?

I think that is the women from Fast Five but not Vince's baba mama, I think she ran with Han.

You're both wrong. lol That is Nathalie Emmanuel, new member of the team.

Vin Diesel is biracial with a caucasion mother and unknown father, presumably black or of mixed race himself.
Dwayne Johnson is bi-racial Samoan/black Canadian.
Jordana Brewster I believe is biracial Brazilian/caucasion.

That doesn't take away from anything from the diversity of the cast but it does add that ethnicity is not so easily defined anymore. And all of them are capable actors IMO.

I just wish they hadn't killed off Sung Kang off in Tokyo Drift.

I hope James Wan makes this one... y'know, entertaining. He's made some good horror films, hope he can shake things up for this. At least the action won't have that many handheld shots and cut to pieces in the editing room. (I'm looking at you, Justin Lin!)

And it has Tony Jaa. Let him do his thing, and don't relegate him to one short scene like they did with Jet Li in The Expendables 2.

if you go back to the last one, it gets even more diverse, with Han (asian), and Gisele (Israeli)

Um, Fast Five and Fast Six were the two best films in the franchise, and both were directed by Lin. They had awesome action scenes.

I've said it before, the series so far is not my cup of tea. I've tried turning my brain off, but I keep cringing at the stupidity. That highway tank sequence and the illogical airport scene in F6 had me go "What?!" (Not the good kind of "What?", but the incredulous kind.) I have more fun playing with my Hot Wheels than watching these movies... and I love cars too.

I will check this out due to James Wan. If he can bring that kind of freshness to this franchise like he did with horror films, I am in. (As well as Tony Jaa.) I want to be excited just for that alone, but I don't know...

He said he never knew his father and is his mother's ethnicity is Scottish, German and Italian. His stepfather is black but that doesn't say anything for his biological father.

I'm surprised James Wan hasn't cast Patrick Wilson as Cole Hauser's brother. Wan and Wilson have worked together 3 times already and Wilson could be a dead ringer for Hauser's brother.

There is no need for his brother. When they said he will easily get out of jail

This series does what it does and makes no apologies about it. You can either choose to eff with it or not. lol

Why would you watch these movies if you knew you wouldn't like them, and then decide to complain about them, that makes zero sense? Yes, the action is ridiculous, but who cares, at least its not boring. You should probably never watch comic book movies, or 95% of action movies, they're ridiculous to.

That is like watching a Wile. E. Coyote cartoon then complaining about how the coyote and roadrunner aren't anatomically correct and how does that coyote keep not dying from all those explosions, falls off cliffs and misfired traps?

Deadline just posted an article about Lucas Black returning. Was he not confirmed before this?

Lucas Black Is Back Behind The Wheel For ‘Fast & Furious 7′ And Beyond
By MIKE FLEMING JR | Monday September 16, 2013 @ 3:47pm PDT

EXCLUSIVE: Lucas Black, who starred in Fast & Furious 3: Tokyo Drift, is returning to reprise his Sean Boswell role in Fast & Furious 7. Black, most recently seen as Pee Wee Reese in the Jackie Robinson film 42, has signed a deal that calls for his character to become a regular in the series and he will be part of at least the next three installments of Universal Pictures’ most lucrative film franchise. Fast & Furious 7 will be released next July 11.

The next film will be directed by James Wan, who just helmed the scarily high grossing Insidious: Chapter 2. Scripted by Chris Morgan, the film stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Statham and Djimon Honsou. Neal H. Moritz and Diesel are the producers. This franchise shows no sign of running out of gas: the last film gave Universal its biggest worldwide opening in studio history, and it is the third highest worldwide grossing film of the year after Iron Man 3 and Uni/Illumination Entertainment’s Despicable Me 2. ICM Partners reps Black.
