Why is it that its the female characters that some people here want to get rid of, this doesn't need to be a complete sausage fest. Michelle Rodriguez is ten times more badass than Paul Walker, and she had the best fight scene in Fast Six.
It's a bromance, no room for those women. :oldrazz:

Honestly though I've noticed that too. I don't think it would work as all men, no women either. The women are as much a part of it as the men although not all of them have the same roles. There are those who drive/involved in the action and those who are support from the sidelines.

Without them some of these guys wouldn't even be alive either.

I hope Ms. Pataki returns; I suppose one of the 'demos' that has yet to have a character so far are black women-- I wonder who would be willing to be in the next film; on a side note, are there any prominent black female MMA fighters?

Nope, although one tried out for the current season of The Ultimate Fighter. She didn't make it though.

And yes, Nathalie Emmanuel is Black.

to me, Walker, Rodriguez and Diesel are the main part of the franchise. Brewster to an extent but i can understand her being out cuz she's going to be with the baby and they'll probably touch on that. the family is the core and if the family isn't there, the films aren't that strong to me.

granted, they are what they are, but a sense of family and loyalty has always been a main theme in these.

Yeah, if they can bring something, sure...bring on more women. Most of the "main" women in this franchise have been pretty tough except Devon, who didn't really do anything to advance the story-line, which is why I don't really care if they never bring her back again.

Elsa's storyline is done, so they don't really need to keep her character just because.

and Gina Carano is dead. They can bring more girls if they want.

and they killed the best female character.

i'm still kind of miffed of the ones who officially died last film, it was pretty much just the female haha

but seriously, han and giselle are my favorite couple in the series and it sucks they are both deceased :(

Yeah, it sucked watching Han die twice. Him and Giselle have been my favorite couple of the series.

The deaths of those characters brought me much joy. I rewinded those scenes over and over again. :)

Well, we all knew that Han's death was coming eventually. And given their relationship at the end of Fast Five, they needed to explain why she wasn't with him in Tokyo, or how he got to Tokyo to begin with. I'm hoping that Statham is an awesome villain. AS much as I enjoy the first, fourth, fifth, and sixth films, and I really do, the one thing that this franchise has always lacked is a truly epic and memorable villain. Luke Evans was really good in Fast Six, but even he didn't quite reach that level. If anyone can, it's Jason "the walking badass" Statham.

isn't that sad, not only we got to see Han die twice, but his girlfriend had to die too. very tragic.

I still wish the reaction to their deaths were handled a little better. It sucks that right after Gisele dies, you only really see Mia and Brian care.

:o

How can they take themselves seriously and expect us to believe that Lucas Black is a teenager?

I expect that this movie won't take place immediately after Fast 6, so the character can be aged a bit.

But honestly, Black doesn't look that much different than he did in Tokyo Drift, if at all different. So its fine.

i'd like to think that maybe the race between vin and black is shown as a flashback or something and perhaps they are at the funeral of another member of the crew? perhaps Omar or Tego and its taken some time for Shaw's brother to find them so time as passed?

reaching too far?

At least we know why he was so mopey and not giving a **** in Tokyo Drift.

That kept a mystery in that film, and I like that it was finally revealed.

I think that the funeral is for Han, but I could be wrong. It would also explain how Dom got the necklace back.

so what are some crazy stunts that should be in the film- how do you top the tank/canyon sequence or the transport-plane climax?

They should drop a yacht out of a 747 airliner, trying to land it on an Aircraft Carrier. But Vin catches it in mid-air and flies it off into the sunset.

The A-Team already did the tanks from a airplane firing in mid-air sequence or I'd have said that.
