Dom drove the Charger at the very end of the first movie in the climatic race against Brian at the train tracks. Anyway, a lot of people speculated that Dom was probably into imports at first basically because the illegal racing scene in Los Angeles was import racing. A lot people felt that once he got behind the wheel of the Charger at the end of the movie, it "changed" him. Something clicked. It's almost like a mini-arc of the character within itself.

Yep. The the charger reminded him of his dad and I assume most if not all muscle cars did. He said it himself that the charger scared the hell out of him. At the end of film one he got that push that allowed him to get into the charger and overcome that fear.

I was thinking about something, in the latest films Dominic always drives an american car/muscle car if he can and in Furious 6 he even gives Brian crap for driving imports and such. So I wonder why in the hell was he driving a Mazda in the first movie? As well as Honda.
If my memory serves me correct that is the only time he's not driving a muscle car.

i always thought it was because everyone knew Toretto loved american cars, helped throw people off the scent that he was doing the robberies

I don't know if this means anything guys, but Gal Gadot posted a Facebook picture on October 2nd of herself and Michelle Rodriguez(who's covered in blood and dirt), and just now, Michelle Rodriguez shared the pic and hashtagged #Fast7. I'd share the pic myself, here, but I don't know how.

They should just write these characters as aliens. Then a whole lot of stuff would make sense. They crash landed all on a ship together. They lost their memories. The government put them all in adopted homes. Only no one told them they were adopted. Something like that

I pre ordered my copy from Wal Mart and it's a Steelbook. I didn't see this mentioned but the release date is Dec. 10th.
