That's what I hear, but as I keep getting challenges in my life, I feel that my Dad will always be there for me to help. He's not only my Dad, but my friend too.THWIP* said:THAT'S GREAT, 'TW'. JUST MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THOSE LINES OF COMMUNICATION OPEN, AS YOU GET OLDER. YOU'RE JUST NOW AT THAT AGE, WHEN ALOT CAN CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE.......IN A HURRY.
rdh007 said:Why would I openly communicate with my dad now? I'm a grown man--we don't do that.

WE ALWAYS HAD MORE OF A "PROFESSIONAL" RELATIONSHIP, SINCE I GREW UP WORKING FOR HIM.......FOR ALMOST 15 YEARS.......SO THINGS BECAME KINDA AWKWARD BETWEEN US AS I GOT OLDER, AND MOVED ON WITH MY LIFE.

That is funny to hear.Colossal Spoons said:Heh, yeah. They don't do anything. I'm also a bit of a thrill seeker and easily bored and they're just workaholics and....gardeners. Zzzzzzzz

I don't go to my parents for "thrills". They don't really "do" anything either.
But they did bring me into the world and waste all their cash and time on bringing me up.
Unless there are any special circumstances, it's worth putting in the effort to find common interests or to just get along as best as possible.
