Hoenstly Fathers day, mothersday and any other half assed halmark holiday suck.

I dislike these holidays very much so, they never seem to be fun for me, i always get yelled at one way or another, like just now my moms like get the hell up its fathers day, im half asleep and not in a good mood to begin with, and im like mom screw fathers day, its not a real holiday, there should be no holidays ware we have to praise dad for 12 hours, he treats me like **** anyway.

i dislike my dad most of the time, and hes always ripping on me, i spent the 3 hours the other night at 2 in the morning helping him with the blackout that we had. and all he tells me is im no help im a ****** and he hates me, well for one it was pitch black, and i couldnt see what he was doing and my flashlight died so i couldnt see what he wanted me to do.

Are you a father? If not, Father's Day isn't for you, thus they don't have to be fun for you, as the holiday is supposed to be spent in celebration of your male parent.

I just started speaking to my dad on a casual level about 5-6 years ago...and I'm 30. So it took a while for my pops to recognize me as an equal instead of a stupid kid. I vow not to raise my kids the way my pops raised me...but he did instill discipline and respect in me and I'm grateful for that. But father's day feels great, my 6 year old daughter made my day with her enthusiasm...so its not such a bad day.

You do realize that spilling your hart open in regards to your obviously freudian issues in regard to Father's Day on a comic book themed message board is not the best way to deal with your issues and simply further isolates you from the outside world and your real problems, right?

The only thing I dislike about Father's Day is that hardly anyone cares about it when compared to Mother's Day. It's a complete afterthought to most when it should definately be it's equal.

I bought my dad The Cowboys DVD, and it really made his day. It's his favorite John Wayne movie. John Wayne is my dads favorite actor, because he reminds him of my grandfather, who looked a lot like John Wayne.

I like fathers day. I have a great relationship with my dad. He never shows emotion and has never said I love you. Still my dad is more than a dad he is my best friend. I spent the day with him waching Mexico v.s Costa Rica soccer game with him.
