Favorite MCU leading lady: Black Widow or Peggy Carter

MCU currently has two strong female characters at this point. Black Widow and Peggy Carter.

I've always felt Peggy was a much stronger lead, even before she got her own series because of the way she is written and how Atwell plays her.

I'm going with Peggy. Atwell demonstrates a diversity in her acting that I've seen in very few. She is a very unique talent. Not trying to take ANYTHING away from BW/SJ, but if Atwell wasn't cast as Peggy Carter, the TV "event" never would've happened. It is her ability to carry the series that makes her stand out. I don't think BW/SJ will ever be the lead in a TV show or movie.

Agent Peggy Carter has more depth and is a better character then Widow. Peggy is a born Leader, while Widow is just a follower who takes orders.

I think ScarJo has done amazing as Widow but Peggy is just I don't know, better! I think because of the period she is in I think she is so great perhaps.

I don't think BW/SJ will ever be the lead in a TV show or movie.

At this point Scarlett doesn't need to do TV as she's currently enjoying her leading lady status in other movies.

Peggy is great and all, but I just love Scarlett as Black Widow so much that it'd feel wrong not to vote for her. So Black Widow gets my vote.

I have to go with Peggy on this one. I do like Natasha since she has grown on me in each movie she's present in, but Peggy has been one of my favorite MCU characters since here debut in Captain America: The First Avenger. I also like Hayley Atwell a lot more as a actress than Scarlett Johansson.

Haven't seen Ant-Man yet but will go ahead & add Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne & possibly being WASP as my second favorite MCU leading lady. Who knows, maybe Wasp will be a carbon copy of Scar Jo's Black Widow with the only difference being wings & shrinking ability but Evangeline is still a favorite of mine so she naturally beats out Scar Jo in my book.

I think Peggy wins out, easily. I love Widow, but Peggy is a much more three dimensional character.

My appreciation for Peggy Carter increased when I saw her TV show. But I still prefer Black Widow just with that hallway scene from Iron Man 2.

I think I'll have to go with Peggy. I love them both, however I feel like Peggy's getting more to do and better overall material. But both are great. Funny, thinking on it, I liked the female leads in both Captain America films more than Cap. XD Though I feel they're the only two good ones. Pepper is okay, Jane is uninteresting and Portman looks absolutely bored, Betty pretty forgettable and Gamora was done horribly.

I'm not a fan of MCU Black Widow at all. I always imagined Widow and someone taller and more athletic and with attitude and authority. I'm also not into Scartlet's acting style. Peggy all the way for me.

I'm very sorry to say this, while I love MCU but so far I think there aren't any strong female in MCU....I'm not a fan of Peggy Carter & Black Widow, sure many said Peggy Carter has strong personalities and so has BW but that's it. No deep and strong mythos behind these 2 characters. These 2 aren't comparable especially when DC will unleash Wonder Woman (with its deep roots & mythos) in several years. Marvel need to make Carol Danvers to be a strong lead female representative in the MCU...not supporting characters capacities like PC & BW.
