I found her lackluster in Guardians.

Gamora was so blandly written, like BW in Iron Man 2. But GOTG was just all around pretty poor with female characters.

Zoe is capable of so much more. In a similar bad ass dangerous role in The Losers she was far more compelling and unnerving.

My MCU ranking

Peggy Carter (loved her from the first but on Agent Cart she's sublime)
Black Widow (her character and performance has risen from movie to movie)
Pepper Potts (always strong though I think she was at her best in the first Iron Man)

I hope Scarlet Witch delivers.

I would totally agree with all that, although I would tack on Agent May at the end because of my total crush on her.

Skye/Daisy Johnson...

Despite not being in any movies yet, as well as not being the single leading role of a series named after herself, the majority of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s plot for almost a full two seasons has been built around her evolution as a character.

From hacktivist with identity issues, to Coulson's prodigy, to rookie Inhuman with a target on her back, to eventually (hopefully soon) becoming one of the most powerful Avengers to date... We've all buckled up and it's been one hell of a ride to watch her grow.

Skye is the Avatar Korra of the MCU, while Peggy and Widow are Katara and Toph. It's taken time for her to live up to the potential her predecessors set for her, but now that she's had sometime to get comfortable, she's become a serious star.

I like Black Widow because she is a part of Avengers but honestly I like her:ilv:

Peggy. Love her rack more too. Damn you Scarlett for getting that reduction!!

Peggy Carter, easily. :hrt:

(Also the best female MCU character overall)

Honestly, I never warmed up to ScarJo's Black Widow. Now if Emily Blunt played Natasha (as originally planned), then (I suspect) it would have been a much closer contest between the two.

But yeah, Hayley Atwell all the way.

Peggy wins! She beat up one Black Widow. She can beat up the other. I absolutely love her character. I love the scenes with her and Jarvis.

I wonder how different Gamora would have been had Nicole Pearlman been allowed to stay behind and work on the script.
