Superman Returns Favorite Most Memorable Scenes in SR

Swordmaster said:
It was actually Noel Neill in the role of the old woman. Jack Larson was the bartender.

Great Caesar's Ghost, you're right. :)

My favorite scenes are...

Him flying up to the sun after the Kryptonite is pulled out and he clenches his fist.

The bullet in the eye scene.

The dog eating the other dog.

I loved seeing the Lois from the tv show and serials in the movie as the old lady who Lex swindled, and that whole scene was good, just dark and somewhat menacing...Lex shoves his wig at the girl-:"You can keep that, the rest is mine."

Even though I don't like seeing it happen I liked when Superman was getting beat up by the henchman, it was touching, I wanted to jump into the screen and help him!

The scene after he saves the plane and says the "safest way to travel line."

Him above the Earth listening.

When he kept blowing out Lois' lighter.

My most memorable -

The whole plane sequence
When he's listening to everyone above earth
When he's flying up to the sun to recharge

"I hope this experience hasn't turned all of you off flying. Statistically speaking, it's still the safest way to travel"

That's basically the only point in the movie that I ever smiled and truely enjoyed.

-Recharge scene
-listening post scene
-plane sequence
-last scene of him flying then doing the Reeve smile at the camera

Jason : "Are we trespassing?"
Lois : No...Umm...Yes (everyone laugh)

Jason :...........:O You bolt.. (funny Scene)

When he catches the plane and everyone cheers

and when he recharges above the clouds

Yes, I forgot about the Sun Recharge scene. :o

Great and beautifully-shot scene.

i wish i could get the full sun charge scene in an avatar.. beautiful well scene from the clouds to returning underwater

- Plane Scene, my 2 year old kid even remembers that scene
- Bank Robber Scene where he zoomed in super speed faster than the bullets
- Saving Metropolis Scene where he used his heat vision to burn all falling debris
- Daily Planet Globe Scene

Overall.... I have to go with the scene where he gives Jason the Jor-El speech. I hated the idea of the kid as much as anyone back when it was first announced.... but that scene just completely sold me on the whole thing. Great acting by Routh there.

Is it weird that the sun-recharging scene does absolutely nothing for me? At least durin the 2nd go around...

(again, I'm a SR fan.)

Oh and another memorable scene that I loved was when Richard, Jason & Lois were trapped in the pantry and were going underwater...just the desperation and hopelessness in Richards face as the boat began to sink and then out of nowhere BAM! Superman comes and saves the day!

Everything about that scene for me just sums up what Superman is about...I loved it.

-Opening credits
-Krypton theme with the surface of Krypton being shown.
-Sun re-charge scene.
-Plane sequence and him asking if everybody is okay, the asking Lois specifically.
-The yacht saving scene with him lifting it up out of the water and him asking Richard if he's "got them" then dropping the yacht into the water.
-Daily Planet globe scene.

I could go on and on. Last but not least-

-The repeating of the Jor-El speech, simply terrific.

Plane Rescue
It's hard to watch but the beatdown scene on NK
I agree with Milkman when Superman asked Richard if he had them...I liked that they worked together.
When Jason said "I Like Him"
Superman's visit to Jason.
When Jason figured out that Superman and Clark are the same person
The Piano scene
So many more

scenes where superman was near death. they really got to me. even though i didn't feel like crying during those scenes, something in me wanted to cry. and the bullet in eye scene was funny for my cause right after supes gave the thug that cocky glare the guy sitting behind me was like, "o0o00o0o0o whatcha gunna do now?!?!?" lol

superman and lois flying scenes..when she looked at her engagement ring to richard

The shot of the red sun destroying Krypton. It was powerful.

The opening credits. Spine-tingling.

The crashing of Kal-El's ship. I like how it was done, not loud and seen through the glass' reflection.

Martha holding Clark as she collapsed in his arms.

Lex swindling the widow.

Lex on the boat. The opera music. Had me rolling.

Lex's speech about Prometheus.

Lex entering the Fortress of Solitude, which was beautiful.

Clark walking outside the Kent Farm, which was shot so well and was pleasant eye candy. Reminded me of For all Seasons.

The young Clark flashbacks. Hopefully we'll see the others on DVD.

Clark flipping the channels, seeing the state of the world.

Martha's speech about Pa Kent.

The panning shot of Metropolis. I'm a big fan of art deco and the Fleischer series, so I loved the look of the city.

Seeing the Daily Planet Globe for the first time in theaters.

All of the scenes of Routh as Clark Kent. Best CK I've seen. His interplay with Jimmy, the scene with him looking on Lois' desk.

The plane sequence. It was excellent.

Every flying scene.

Superman hovering over the Earth, listening. I'd rewind it back and watch it many times if I could.

The bank robbery. Classic Superman.

The Action Comics # 1 homage.

Lex breaking into the museum.

Lois and Superman on the Daily Planet roof for the first time, LIVE. Loved it.

I liked the kid. Don't like the idea, but I liked how it was handled.

Saving Metropolis before heading to New Krypton.

Rescuing Richard, Lois, and Jason. Awesome.

The beatdown. Harsh. It is kind of wrenching to see. It's Superman getting beat for crying out loud.

Superman's recharge, bathing in the sun. Always wanted to see that.

The emotional struggle of Superman lifting New Krypton.

The fall back to Earth.

The hospital scenes.

Superman's talk to Jason.

The ending.

Opening credits, plane scene, superman gets attacked by luthors men (such an intense scene!) and when superman falls from space.
