I finally got me a SNES :)

Saw a good looking one on eBay. Comes with Super Mario World, too (good condition). There's a little yellowing around the control ports but for barely $45, I'll take it.

There was a Craigslist ad nearby, SNES, 2 controllers with:
Super Mario World
Super Metroid
Super Smash TV
World Heroes
NFL Quarterback Club '96
Stunt Race FX
F-Zero

for $75. But the SNES could be all discolored and the games could be messed up. This eBay deal was also too good to pass up.

I still want to get a Retro Duo. Might get it for myself at Christmas or next year since it'll last longer.

Just scored Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, 3, Killer Instinct, Super Game Boy, and NHL 95 on eBay for $28.49 (w/ s/h). Really good deal since the DKC trilogy was going for $30 (usually $40) by itself. I suck at 2D fighters (except Smash) but I like owning Rare's pre-360 games. Super Game Boy will be great since I have a lot of classic GB/C games. NHL 95 I couldn't care less about but it's something for me to play around with.

goddamn man. I'd kill for all the **** you just listed. I loved my SNES soo damned much, I'm actually huntin for one. As long as I got DKC and Super Mario World, I'll be set

Yeah, pretty good deals. I'm not going to get anything for awhile though since I've already spent quite a bit recently. That's the one bad thing about finding a lot of deals. You save a lot but you also end up spending a lot, sometimes on things you don't need.

Yeah for sure. I miss the **** outta my SNES. DKC trilogy, Super Mario World, Megan Man X and Super Mario All-Stars, I love them all so very much

So many good games on the SNES to get. I can't wait to start reliving childhood memories I never had :)

I just saw an SNES 2 on eBay go for $25+$15 s/h. Too bad I paid for my SNES already :(

My SNES came today. I started playing it but the controller was crap. The wire was loose and you could pull it a bit from the controller (exposing the uncovered portion). The right half of the casing was loose which made the A and B buttons harder to press. The Left on the D-Pad didn't always work. I contacted the seller and they're going to send me a new one since the one I got was not supposed to be shipped.

The SNES itself is alright. There are a couple of black marks on 2 spots and there's a small dent near the back. There's slight yellowing around the controller ports but it's nothing major. It felt a bit sticky so I rubbed some alcohol on it to see if that got rid of it. The SMW cart was in great condition. There was some red mark on it but I got most of it off. It's hard b/c there are those small grooves in the cart.

I may buy a nicer looking one on eBay and put this one on Craigslist. I'll see though.

I picked up a 6 switch 2600 the other day, it's not a "heavy sixer", but it's still a 6 switch.
Also, picked up Super Return of the Jedi (snes), Kirby's Adventure (nes) and comics Zone (genesis).
I still really really want the Vectrex they have at the retro gaming store here, but he wants far too much for it. I'll just wait till I can find a cheaper one on ebay.

Ha I remember that game. Hardest game I've ever played by far. I remember Chewbacca being difficult as sin, thank god for Lukes lightsaber or I never would'a made it past the first level

I'm watching an eBay auction for an NES with 23 good games. No one has bid and it ends 10pm Sunday. I also might buy some games from someone on another forum. Damn, it's so hard to resist all these good offers but spending $100 at once is never fun to look at. It looks much nicer when it's a bunch of smaller purchases.

I caved on an NES with new 72 pin connector for a little under $50. Damn, I should have bought one that was $10 more but came with a Zapper and SMB/Duck Hunt. Only way I can get out of it is if the USPS destroys the box and I get the insurance.

Picked up Super Mario Bros. 3 today. It was a bit expensive ($15) but in great condition, looks like it was just pulled from a sealed box so I couldn't pass it up. Also got comics Zone ($6) and Pokemon Snap ($6). I used to have Snap but I gave it away.

My 6 SNES games also came today and they're in great condition, too.

SMB 3 is such a good game, definitely worth $15.
I recently picked up a Commodore 1702 monitor. I had to replace the power cord (considering it had been cut off), but it's not like that's a problem.
Unfortunately, I only have the RF cable for my Commodore 64 (and my ADAM as well) so I still need to use a VCR to switch from RF to component (rca).
It's still pretty sweet though.

Picked up an NES Advtange, Contra, Super Mario Bros, and this game called Wood & Water Rage. It's made by LJN so that's all you really need to know. Games came with the dust jackets. Hopefully everything works. Cost me $25 which I think is a fair price.

Here's my newest stuff so far. Got Ducktales on Ebay for $8.

T&C Surf Designs: Wood and Water Rage!
Now, I havn't played this game in a decade or 2 but I seem to remember enjoying it....
Let me know how it ends up being.

I'm jealous of the Advantage...I've been looking for one myself, and a snes Super Advantage too.

I could probably get this stuff easier on ebay but I'm seriously afraid of ebay. Not that I'm worried about getting ripped off, just worried about spending all my money (that I don't even have).

I will do let you know how it is.

Just won 16 Genesis games for $22 on eBay. Games are: Rocket Knight Adventures, World Series 98, Aladdin, NBA Hangtime, Sonic 3, Jeopardy, Vectorman, Tommy Lasorda Baseball, Joe & Mac, Sonic 2, Road Rash, PGA Tour Golf 2, Barney's Hide & Seek, Super Monaco, Toe Jam & Earl 2, World Series Baseball.

I've been wanting to get Rocket Knight Adventures, Vectorman, and Toe Jam and Earl. I want to get a new Sonic 3 since the label on mine is crappy. I know Aladdin is good. Don't know about the others but for basically $1.42, can't be too bad. I just hope the labels of the games I want are in good condition. I keep saying to myself "This is the last thing I'm buying for awhile" but then I keep looking and finding something I want. The only thing I'm going to look for after this is Conker's Bad Fur Day on N64, then I'm taking a break. Though I did sell my spare Marvel Legends Deadpool for $70 so I've made up for some of my spending.

I just realized the SNES controllers I bought on eBay aren't real SNES ones :( I hope they at least have the same color scheme as the original SNES ones. Why can't these sellers put a picture of the actual controller up instead of using the box of Nintendo's?

I just picked up Darkwing Duck and Ducktales for the NES from a local game shop for five bucks each.

Nice find.

My NES came today. It's in decent shape. The top half of the case needs to be cleaned though. The 1st controller port is a little loose so hopefully it doesn't break on me. All my games and the system work though. It's neat having every Nintendo console now.

I also got my replacement SNES controllers. They're not that bad. I might swap the casing with my better legit SNES one. When I took that one apart, the wire connecting the right shoulder button to the main circuit board was actually broken.

Somehow my NES's pin connector got busted up something pretty bad. I discovered this when I tried to put in a cart but for some reason had to apply a bit more force than usual. When I booted up the game it looked garbly and the screen was flashing. I tried again with another game (again, needing more force than I thought should be necessary), and the screen just went blue-- no flashing.

To make a long story short, I ended up taking my NES apart again and examining the pin connector up close, and somehow a few of the top pins got bent up and are making contact with the bottom ones at all times, which is what was causing the "blue screen of death." Looks like I'll be buying yet another pin connector, which is disappointing since I've only used my NES lightly since I last replaced the connector about 9 years ago. Oh well, at least it's just the pin connector being shot, and not something worse.

My NES has acted up on me like that a few times. Though I get it to work. Oddly, sometimes it works better without pressing the cart down.

If the pins are only slightly bent then it's probably not a problem. With mine however, the pins are really busted up bad for some reason. I'm not sure how it happened, but I must have rammed a bad cart in there at some point or something. It took a lot more force to push the carts in than it should have, and I think it's because I was bending the out-of-place pins when I shoved the carts in. Whatever the case, I looks like the only way I'm gonna get that the thing working again is with another new pin connector.

Oh the NES and it's silly pin-connector.
I really wish I could find a top-loader around here, for a reasonable price.
