The Dark Knight Rises Favorite quotes from the film (SPOILERS)

A scene that highlights the power of Bane. I'm not comparing Bane to Joker at all (totally different characters) but it felt like the equivalent of Joker's scene with Gambol.
It was presented in a similar way, with a slow build-up to the murder and a quick cutaway from the violence.

This is such a great scene. And the way Bane placed his hand over Dagget's shoulder, with such light pressure, and how that instantly instilled fear in Dagget- that was true power. And absolutely terrifying.

I'm sure this has been posted ad nauseum, but:

"You only adopted the dark. I was born in it. Molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man and by then it was nothing to me but blinding."

Just the way he spits out the last word as he snatches Batman out of the shadows. It's the real "oh ****" moment of the scene because you really see that Bane is better at everything Batman does than Batman himself. It's a true defeat in every way.

I loved the line Thalia said about gotham.
"Innocent is a big word to throw around in Gotham"
I probably butchered it. But I like how it showed what kind of a place Gotham is. Made it feel more real.

A lot of the lines from Talia felt like they could've been from Ra's also. I don't remember what her first lines were in the movie, but I remember how much it reminded me of what Ra's said in Batman Begins.

I wish they showed a little bit of her skill as the heir of Ras al Ghul, but her script was written just how I think she would have sounded. So great!
I loved nothing more than catwoman though :awesome:

Dagget: "You dumb *****!"
Catwoman: "No one has ever accused me of being dumb..."
Lol love that part!

I was going to post this exact sequence.

"Then I guess we're both suckers..."

"This city needs me."

"And we give it back to you... the people."
Tom's delivery was perfect every ****ing time.

I love most of the witty one liners people have posted here but one of the lines that stood out for me was a pretty low key one, it was at the football stadium when bane says "let the games begin". Its not great but him saying that, knowing what he knows is about to happen and the fact its almost playful and teasing (kind of a joker vibe) plus the way he says it, 'nice'.

I love the way he says "the Bat Man!" reading gordons letter. So condescening showing his hatred

I present to you as the shining example of justice. You have been supplied with a false idol to stop you from tearing down this corrupt city. Let me tell you the truth about Harvey Dent from the words of Gotham's police commissioner James Gordon. The Batman didn't murder Harvey Dent, he saved my boy then took the blame for Harvey's appalling crime so that I could, to my shame, build a lie around this fallen idol. I praised the mad man who tried to murder my own child but I can no longer live with my lie. It is time to trust the people of Gotham with the truth and it is time for me to resign. And do you accept this man's resignation? Do you accept the resignation of all these liars?! Of all the corrupt?!

Obviously I am going to kill you now. You'll just have to imagine the fire.

My favourite line has to be Bane when he says "What a lovely, lovely voice!" just as the kid finishes singing

All of Bane's lines.

I don't think he has a weak line in the film.

"Theatricality and Deception, powerful agents against the uninitiated; but we are initiated, aren't we Bruce? Members of the League of Shadows... and you betrayed us!"

"So that's what that feels like..."
Is still my favorite because it's right out of Kingdom Come.

Am I the only one who wasn't big on "So that's what it feels like?" To me it felt like more of a forcefed line, could have worked better if he just cut off with him kind of shocked and it was left as more subtle humour for those that kept up with the other films. I guess that's just me...

It's a pure Batman moment, that's why I dug it. I don't think you could do it any other way without it being really funny.

"A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders, to let him know the world hadn't ended."

Bane: Do you feel in charge?

Dagget: I’ve paid you a small fortune.

Bane: And this gives you power over me?

When he put his hand on Dagget's shoulder and started stoking his cheek I was like ---> :wow: in the theatre. You knew it was over for him after that.

Trynna talk s*** to Bane?! Are you nuts?!!! When Dagget first walked up to Bane's face grilling him I was like "What is dude smoking?"

And I was like "Where can I get some?" :oldrazz:

"Clear the corners, rookie." Jim Gordon. I was all :awesome: at that moment.
